Program Description:

BLITS 3.0 PROGRAM DESCRIPTION: This role will be to directly support the mission of the 66th Air Base Group (66 ABG) to secure information and information systems; to support mission success through effective and efficient service delivery; and to sustain required infrastructure and capabilities. As one part of the greater Air Force Information Network (AFIN) enterprise, the 66 ABG Communications and Information Division (66 ABG/SC) has responsibilities in two categories (1) direct actions in support of Hanscom Air Force Base (HAFB) and geographically separated units (GSUs); and (2) indirect actions to support the AFIN enterprise. Successful solutions for this requirement are expected to have strengths in four areas: integration, flexibility, AFIN knowledge, and technical expertise.

 

 

Job Responsibilities:

·        Responsible for management of the Communications Security (COMSEC) program supporting multiple organization COMSEC accounts. Ensure secure, efficient, and compliant COMSEC posture for Command Inspections. Conversant with COMSEC material management, Cryptographic Access program and Secure Telephones   

·        Responsible for management, implementation and execution of the Risk Management Framework functions and the continued accreditation and compliance of the Base Enterprise Network Enclaves and systems. RMF artifacts shall be provided through the Enterprise Mission Assurance Support Service (eMASS) unless otherwise specified by the WCSO.

·        Lead cybersecurity projects. Establish, Document, and execute base policies in line with DoD, AF policy, NSA, and NIST Special Publications to effectively manage the overall Cyber Security of the Base 

·        Responsible for Review/Process all Cybersecurity Vulnerability Management alerts, bulletins, and Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGS) for applicable implementation and remediation in the customer’s network/computing environment(s) 

·        Ensure that applicable systems/networks/computing environments meet security requirements and that all security risks for those environments are properly mitigated 

·        Direct team members and assist customers in the analysis of security solutions and in the assessment of networks, systems, and desktop computing environments under development. Manage and execute applicable contract thresholds, objectives, metrics, and deliverables in support of the program manager. 

·        Support the accreditation of Federally Funded Research and Development Center (FFRDC) classified system plans 

 

Job Requirements:

·        Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity/Information technology or equivalent  

·        8 years’ experience with Cybersecurity practices within the DoD or other Federal Agency. An additional 4 years’ experience may substitute for the degree. 

·        3 years’ experience in general information technology, operations and/or management 

·        Strong knowledge of Air Force, DoD and applicable Federal Cybersecurity Directives and Instructions 

·        Expert level of Cybersecurity knowledge in the RMF process and Cyber Defense and the use of Enterprise Mission Assurance Support Service (eMASS)

·        Experience with Active Directory (AD Users, Groups, and Computers) 

·        Work dynamically and effectively with people on projects (formal and informal) and conduct technical interchanges as required.  

·        Hands-on experience with Cybersecurity tasks 

·        CISSP certification required. 

·        Must have an active Top-Secret Clearance
