Manage and support IT infrastructure and applications, ensuring performance and security of Windows/Linux/Unix systems, and providing application support.
We are seeking a Windows/Linux/Unix Administrator & Application Support Specialist with 3+ years of experience to manage and support our IT infrastructure and applications. The ideal candidate will have strong technical expertise in Windows systems administration, Linux/Unix environments, and experience in providing application support to ensure the smooth operation of critical IT services.
Requirements:
- 3+ years of experience in Windows system administration and application support.
- Fluent English
- Proficiency in Windows Server operating systems (2016, 2019, 2022).
- Strong understanding of Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and group policy management.
- Experience with installing, configuring, and maintaining Linux/Unix systems (Red Hat, CentOS, Ubuntu).
- Proficiency in shell scripting and automation using Bash or similar tools.
- Familiarity with virtualization technologies such as VMware or Hyper-V.
- Knowledge of network protocols and concepts.
- Ability to script and automate tasks using PowerShell.
- Experience with ITSM tools like ServiceNow or JIRA for ticket management.
- Certifications such as Microsoft Certified: MCSA or MCSE are desired.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.
Responsibilities
- Install, configure, and maintain Windows servers (2016/2019/2022) to ensure their performance, security, and availability.
- Manage Active Directory environments, including user accounts, groups, permissions, and group policies.
- Perform regular system updates, patches, and backups for Windows environments.
- Install, configure, and maintain Linux/Unix systems (Red Hat, CentOS, Ubuntu) to ensure performance, security, and availability.
- Manage user accounts, permissions, and security for Linux/Unix systems, and automate tasks using shell scripting.
- Provide 2nd and 3rd-level application support for business-critical applications, resolving software-related issues.
- Collaborate with development teams to manage application deployments, patches, and upgrades.
- Use monitoring tools to track system and application health, responding to alerts promptly and ensuring high availability.
- Assist users with resolving Windows OS, network, and application-related issues.
- Participate in disaster recovery planning, testing, and system maintenance.
- Document issues, resolutions, and develop standard operating procedures (SOPs) for IT and application support tasks.
- Ensure security policies are followed, including antivirus, firewalls, and other security tools.
