The Research Operations Recruiting Associate will lead recruitment initiatives for studies at WHOOP Labs, ensuring diversity in participant demographics and enhancing participant experiences through strategic outreach and feedback collection.

As the Research Operations Recruiting Associate, you will own the recruitment strategy and execution for studies conducted at WHOOP Labs. You will lead recruitment for studies, ensuring each study cohort is demographically diverse. You will also collaborate with other members of the WHOOP Labs Research Operations team to collect feedback on participant interests and experiences to drive new panel program initiatives that ensure our participants feel valued.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Lead session schedule creation and study recruitment efforts for WHOOP Labs and contribute to the strategic vision for participation in studies at WHOOP Labs
- Own the execution of strategic recruitment initiatives that you create, collaborating with the research execution team to champion participant needs and ensure study experiences are accessible and exciting for potential recruits
- Recruit and schedule a high volume of research participants for in-lab and field studies, paying careful attention to the demographic distribution requirements for each study and employing creative approaches to fill gaps as needed
- Establish yourself as a strong voice for research participants and Lab practices, and build awareness throughout the organization for recruitment efforts/needs
- Conduct regular research with existing participants and new groups to identify opportunities to improve participant experiences
- Oversee participant communications and compensation across the Research Operations team
- Report progress regularly and present findings to department heads
- Support budget planning and allocation for incentives and other recruitment spending
- Reports to the Director of Human Subjects Research
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university
- 2-4 years of experience with research operations, study management, or a related field
- Prior management of a customer/user/participant panel a plus
- Working knowledge of data management systems including Excel
- Interested in connecting with new people and organizations, and willing to lead cold outreach to support recruitment efforts
- Strong interpersonal communication skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities at once, and help other team members prioritize related asks
- Currently located in the Greater Boston area
This role is based in the WHOOP office located in Boston, MA. Candidates must be prepared to work in person in the WHOOP office 4 days each week.
