As the WHOOP Labs Research Coordinator, you will own study design and execution for apparel and accessories research. Collaborating with the rest of the WHOOP Labs team, you will lead execution of apparel studies for design testing and algorithm training throughout the product life cycle. 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Own the lab’s stakeholder relationship with the Apparel & Accessories team
  • Work collaboratively with WHOOP Labs Research Operations to collect, scope, and schedule study requests 
  • Build strong relationships with other stakeholder teams whose work is supported by your projects such as Signal Processing, Hardware, and Firmware 
  • Lead protocol design and refinement for apparel and accessories studies, and train other WHOOP Labs research coordinators to ensure high quality and consistent study execution across session
  • Manage the use and upkeep of data collection equipment and support the day-to-day operations of the Lab including data quality monitoring and device/platform troubleshooting
  • Manage apparel samples in the lab, including tracking prototype garments, organizing items (size, design version), and laundering materials
  • Provide a best-in-class experience to study participants, following best practices for human subjects research and creating a welcoming and inclusive environment
  • Serve as an ambassador for the lab and WHOOP brand

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's Degree in human physiology, exercise physiology, product design, or similar
  • Strong technological background and working knowledge of data management systems including the Google Suite
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills, experience in customer service nice to have as you will be working closely with study participants
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Professional, timely, organized
