We care deeply about building products that genuinely solve problems for pet owners while operating with high standards across every part of the business. We are building a company focused on long-term excellence, creating significant opportunities for highly capable people who want real ownership, meaningful impact, and the ability to help shape the future of the company.

Role Intro

The mission of this role is to build a stable operational foundation for scaling Uproot Clean’s wholesale business.

You will coordinate retailer launches, operational execution, inventory flow, retailer support, reporting, and cross-functional projects across our wholesale organization. This role exists to improve execution reliability, increase operational visibility, reduce dropped balls, and help transition the wholesale business from reactive operations to scalable operational excellence.

The right person naturally creates structure, follows through relentlessly, solves problems proactively, and keeps important projects moving forward without requiring constant oversight.

What You'll Own

Retail Launch & Account Operations

  • Coordinate launches across Walmart, Target, Petco, distributors, and other retail accounts

  • Manage retailer item setup, retailer onboarding, and operational workflows across accounts

  • Support purchase order management, replenishment coordination, inventory flow, fulfillment tracking, and retailer operational requests

  • Monitor retailer portals and dashboards including SupplierOne, DSCO, Partners Online, and related retailer systems

  • Ensure retailer requirements, timelines, and operational deliverables are executed accurately and on time

  • Support deduction management, chargebacks, vendor compliance issues, and operational troubleshooting

Operational Infrastructure & Organization

  • Build and maintain operational trackers, dashboards, workflows, reporting systems, and documentation

  • Improve visibility across retailer launches, inventory flow, operational risks, retailer requests, and project timelines

  • Create scalable operational systems that reduce chaos and improve execution consistency

  • Improve cross-functional communication and coordination across wholesale operations

  • Help establish stronger operational structure, accountability, and process discipline across the retail business

Problem Solving & Execution

  • Identify operational risks, bottlenecks, and retailer issues proactively before they escalate

  • Drive operational problem solving across launches, fulfillment, inventory, retailer support, and retailer communication

  • Coordinate cross-functionally with supply chain, finance, operations, customer support, and leadership teams

  • Maintain high responsiveness and reliability in fast-moving operational environments

  • Push projects forward consistently and ensure critical work does not fall through the cracks

AI & Operational Leverage

  • Use AI tools daily to improve operational speed, organization, reporting, communication, and execution quality

  • Build lightweight workflows, automations, reporting processes, and AI-assisted systems that improve operational efficiency

  • Continuously improve operational output through better systems, organization, and process optimization

What Success Looks Like

Retail launches move quickly, smoothly, and with significantly fewer operational issues.

Retailer communication becomes highly responsive, organized, and reliable. Internal teams gain significantly better visibility into timelines, operational risks, inventory flow, retailer requests, and project status.

Operational problems are identified early and solved proactively instead of reactively. Important projects consistently move forward without requiring excessive oversight or escalation.

The wholesale organization becomes more scalable, operationally mature, and capable of supporting increasing retailer complexity without operational chaos increasing alongside it.

Requirements

Must Have

  • 2+ years of experience supporting wholesale, retail operations, account operations, supply chain coordination, or related operational functions inside a CPG, ecommerce, retail, or consumer products company

  • Experience supporting retailer launches, retailer operations, or vendor management processes

  • Strong organizational skills with demonstrated ability to manage multiple operational workstreams simultaneously

  • Strong communication skills across cross-functional teams and external retail partners

  • Strong ownership mentality and consistent follow-through

  • Ability to operate effectively inside fast-moving environments with shifting priorities

  • Experience building or improving operational trackers, workflows, systems, dashboards, or reporting processes

  • Comfort navigating retailer systems, portals, operational workflows, and retailer communication processes

  • Daily use of AI tools to improve operational speed, organization, communication, reporting, or execution quality

  • High attention to detail without losing sight of operational priorities

Nice to Have

  • Experience supporting Walmart, Target, Petco, grocery, pet specialty, or distributor accounts

  • Experience with SupplierOne, DSCO, Partners Online, Retail Link, or related retailer systems

  • Experience managing deductions, chargebacks, replenishment coordination, or vendor compliance issues

  • Experience inside high-growth ecommerce or consumer products environments

  • Experience building operational automations or AI-assisted workflows

  • Strong familiarity with wholesale operations, inventory coordination, and retailer support processes

Who This Role Is Not For

  • Someone who is not internally-driven.

  • If you require constant direction, reminders, or external pressure to stay organized and execute consistently, this role is not for you.

  • Someone who becomes overwhelmed by operational complexity, shifting priorities, or ambiguity.

  • Someone who communicates reactively, struggles with follow-through, or waits to be told what to do before taking action.

  • Someone looking for a low-accountability or highly predictable environment.

Work Requirements

⏰ Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM EST

💻 Workspace: Fixed, professional setup (no digital nomads)

Compensation & Benefits

Uproot Clean is a high ownership, high accountability environment with high standards for communication, speed, execution, and quality. We care far more about ability, judgment, and ownership than credentials or years of experience.

  • Competitive base salary + performance-based bonus structure

  • Significant autonomy with the ability to directly influence the company’s growth and direction

  • Fully remote: work from anywhere

  • PTO: 2 Weeks

  • Flex Day: An additional quarterly day off dedicated to rest and recovery

  • Thinking Day: one dedicated day each quarter to step away from day-to-day execution and think deeply about your role, systems, ideas, and long-term impact

  • Fully Covered Medical Insurance: Health, dental, and vision insurance for US-based employees

  • Wellness Reimbursement: $100-$300/month, based on location to help support your wellness

  • Pet Reimbursement: $40-$100/month, based on location to help support parenting a pet
