We are seeking a talented individual to join our US Wealth Leadership team at Mercer. This role will be based in the US. This is a hybrid role that has a requirement of working at least three days a week in the office.
The Wealth Management Segment Leader in the U.S. is a critical business role responsible for developing and leading the next stage of growth for Wealth Management at Mercer. This role involves setting strategic direction, achieving financial results, and serving as the commercial leader and face of the business both internally and externally.
We will count on you to:
- Achieve financial results including revenue, profit, and sales for the Wealth Management segment
- Serve as the commercial leader responsible for day-to-day business decisions and execution of segment strategic and tactical priorities
- Set strategic direction including segmentation, value proposition, and competitive positioning
- Manage direct reports and influence key partners in sales, local offices, and other segments
- Develop and manage talent within the segment
- Support broader US Investments leadership objectives and collaborate with Wealth Management Segment Leaders in other regions, including the Global Leader for Wealth Management
- Drive cross-Marsh collaboration to unlock additional opportunities
- Lead product design and development, model portfolios, private market solutions, and strategic partnerships on both branded and "white-label" bases
What you need to have:
- Deep understanding and experience navigating the rapid evolution of product and distribution in U.S. Wealth Management, especially in alternative investments, model portfolios, and RIA aggregators
- Proven ability to develop a robust multi-year strategy including market analysis, competitive analysis, proposition development, financial modeling, and resourcing
- Experience designing and negotiating strategic partnerships that favor and protect Mercer
- Track record of executing and implementing strategic partnerships balancing business urgency with risk
- Proven product development and management experience, including navigating complex needs of SEC regulated products
- Ability to design, build, hire, and manage a "wholesale" force and related infrastructure to generate demand for Mercer’s products and solutions
- Experience directing and executing related technology, marketing, and collateral support
- Ability to identify and elevate potential inorganic growth opportunities in the segment
