Wastewater Pretreatment Specialist

The Environmental Engineer will be responsible for evaluating current and anticipated wastewater discharges, including existing tenant operations and future commercial space activities, and develop the technical basis for practical pretreatment requirements.

The ideal candidate will have strong technical knowledge, organizational, and communication skills, along with experience in wastewater operations, and compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• · Review of existing monitoring and operational data, limited site investigations, targeted wastewater sampling and analysis at key discharge locations, and engineering evaluations necessary to identify pollutants of concern and assess potential impacts to the collection system and FOTW. The resulting analyses will support development of defensible local limits, management practices, and future pretreatment requirements tailored to WFF's current and anticipated wastewater conditions.

Qualifications:

• Minimum 20 years of experience in wastewater, stormwater, and drinking water regulatory compliance management.
• Strong knowledge of the Clean Water Act.
• Experience in analytical interpretation of lab analysis of water samples.
• Ability to author and review management plans, work instructions, policies, procedures for environmental compliance.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Prior experience with government contracts preferred.
• Physical & Security Requirements
• Ability to walk, stand, and perform inspections across multiple buildings and facilities.
• Ability to lift and move supplies/equipment (up to 10 lbs).
• Ability to gain clearance to NASA facilities and IT networks.
