The ideal candidate combines strategic acumen, operational excellence, and deep domain expertise in life science tools and genomics markets.

What You’ll Do  

Commercial Leadership

  • Lead the global commercial organization encompassing sales, marketing, customer success, and channel management.
  • Develop and execute commercial strategy across the Americas, EMEA, and APAC, with near-term focus on the US market.
  • Establish scalable go-to-market models aligned with regional market dynamics and customer segments (academic, biotech, biopharma, industrial).
  • Build and manage key customer and strategic partner relationships at the executive level.

Growth Strategy

  • Drive revenue acceleration through optimized pricing, channel expansion, and product mix strategy.
  • Collaborate with Product and R&D to ensure commercial input informs product roadmap and innovation priorities.
  • Lead market segmentation and campaign development to grow adoption across synthetic biology, gene synthesis, and genomic analysis workflows.
  • Oversee forecasting, pipeline management, and performance analytics.

Team Development & Operations

  • Build, mentor, and scale a high-performing global commercial team with a culture of accountability and excellence.
  • Implement CRM and sales enablement best practices for efficiency and visibility.
  • Ensure alignment of marketing, inside sales, and field sales activities with corporate goals.

Strategic Alignment

  • Serve as a key member of the executive leadership team, contributing to company strategy, planning, and investor communications.
  • Partner with Finance and Operations on budgeting, resource allocation, and margin optimization.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure customer-centric execution across the organization.

What You Will Bring

  • Advanced degree in Life Sciences, Business, or related field; MBA or PhD preferred.
  • 15+ years of commercial leadership experience in life science tools, genomics, or biotech industries.
  • Proven success developing and executing global commercial strategies across the US and global
  • Strong track record in sales, marketing, and channel leadership, driving sustained revenue growth.
  • Deep understanding of gene synthesis, sequencing, and multiomics markets.
  • Demonstrated ability to build and lead high-performing global teams with a culture of accountability and excellence.
  • Strategic, data-driven thinker with strong financial acumen and expertise in pricing, forecasting, and CRM.
  • Exceptional communication and collaboration skills to partner effectively across Marketing, Product, and Operations.

United States Base Compensation: $268,000.00 - $322,000.00

The posted pay range for this position is an estimate based on current market data and internal pay structure. Final compensation may vary above or below this range depending on factors such as experience, education (including licensure and certifications),  qualifications, performance, and geographic location, among other relevant business or organizational needs.
