Job Summary

The VP of Sales Engineering is responsible for leading the enterprise-wide Client and Sales Engineering organization for the Northeast Division, focused on delivering Comcast’s full suite of advanced technology solutions — including High-Capacity Ethernet Networks, Internet, Video, Advanced Voice, Managed Security, SD-WAN, and other next-generation managed services — to Enterprise, Metro-E, Mid-Market, and National Account customers.
This VP will oversee a team of Sales Engineering Managers that are responsible for territory performance, solution design, and technical sales support. This leader will shape and drive the overarching sales engineering strategy to align with, and surpass, company objectives. They will ensure effective integration of emerging technologies into the sales process to enhance customer outcomes and drive revenue growth. In addition, they will hold full accountability for departmental budget planning, resource allocation, and operational efficiency.

Job Description

Core Responsibilities
  • Provide leadership, development and training to a cross-functional team.

  • Establish the overall strategy and direction for the sales engineering department. Leads change management efforts when modifying the department strategy.

  • Develop key leadership relationships to ensure collaboration between the sales engineering team and National Engineering and Technical Operations (NETO).

  • Develop operations budgets and manage organization sizing according to the number of products and channels supported.

  • Provide leadership and guidance to the divisional and regional teams on product development direction and optimized solution options for cost-effective construction and service delivery.

  • Establish department processes and procedures and make necessary modifications to improve sales effectiveness and cycle time reduction.

  • Stay abreast of competitive landscape and emerging technologies to best position Comcast in the marketplace.

  • Consistent exercise of independent judgment and discretion in matters of significance.

  • Regular, consistent and punctual attendance. Must be able to work nights and weekends, variable schedule(s) and overtime as necessary.

  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Additional Requirements

  • Proven experience in designing and implementing complex, enterprise-grade technology solutions.

  • Skilled in engaging with C-level executives to effectively communicate Comcast Business’s value proposition, aligning advanced service offerings with strategic business objectives.

Compensation

This job can be performed in Maryland with a Pay Range of $248,135.27 - $407,650.80

Comcast intends to offer the selected candidate base pay dependent on job-related, non-discriminatory factors such as experience.
