About Impiricus

Impiricus is a fast-growing healthcare technology company redefining how life sciences companies engage with HCPs. Our brand new flagship solution, Ascend, is a first-of-its-kind commercial platform that integrates digital engagement, rep connect, concierge services, and data-driven insights to deliver measurable value for pharma manufacturers and their brands. We work with some of the world’s leading life sciences organizations to create meaningful, compliant, and scalable connections that drive brand success.

With strong market traction and rapid growth, we are seeking a proven senior sales leader to drive adoption among the world’s top pharma companies in a key role for us as a company.

The Opportunity

As VP of Sales for Ascend, you will be the senior revenue leader for one of the most disruptive commercial programs in the life sciences industry. You will own the strategy, relationships, and execution required to land large, enterprise-level deals with marquee pharma brands worldwide. This is a rare opportunity for a commercially savvy, relationship-driven executive who wants to help build a transformative business line and unlock stellar upside potential.

Key Responsibilities
  • Enterprise Selling: Lead full-cycle enterprise sales for Ascend across global pharma manufacturers, from C-suite to brand leadership.
  • Relationship Building: Develop, nurture, and expand high-level executive relationships at both corporate and brand levels.
  • Deal Strategy & Execution: Design and execute strategies to secure 7- and 8-figure deals that become reference accounts and category-defining wins.
  • Market Expansion: Open new markets and geographies for Ascend by leveraging existing networks and cultivating new ones.
  • Collaboration: Partner closely with the GM, marketing, product, and customer success to ensure client needs are met and growth objectives are exceeded.
  • Thought Leadership: Represent Ascend externally at key conferences, industry forums, and executive meetings.
  • Pipeline Management: Build, forecast, and deliver against an aggressive enterprise sales quota.
What We’re Looking For
  • Proven Seller: 12+ years of enterprise sales experience in life sciences, with a track record of closing multi-million-dollar, multi-year deals.
  • Industry Connectivity: Deep relationships at the executive and brand levels within top-20 global pharma manufacturers.
    • Note: While existing relationships with pharma executives are valuable, this role does not require a pre-set network of contacts. Instead, success will come from quickly identifying and cultivating relationships with the 20 most important decision makers across the top global pharma companies—and turning those connections into long-term strategic partnerships.
  • Executive Gravitas: Ability to engage with senior decision makers (CMOs, BU Heads, Digital Transformation leaders, etc.) and earn trust quickly.
  • High-Pace Operator: Thrives in a fast-moving, entrepreneurial environment where priorities shift quickly and speed to impact matters.
  • Self-Starter: Comfortable operating with autonomy, creating structure where none exists, and driving opportunities from idea to signed contract.
  • Global Perspective: Experience working across U.S. and international markets.
  • Travel Ready: Willingness to spend 25-50%+ of time with customers and prospects globally.
  • Speed and Agility: Proven ability to move with speed and agility, crafting highly tailored deal structures that align with client needs while supporting a rapidly evolving product and market landscape.
Why Join Us
  • Be at the forefront of a transformative shift in how pharma engages with HCPs.
  • Drive a high-growth business line with visibility at the board and executive levels.
  • Enjoy high upside potential with healthy compensation and performance incentives.
  • Join a mission-driven team that is redefining what’s possible in commercial pharma.

The OTE for this role is $200,000 - $500,000

Where you land within the range will reflect your skills, experience, and location, while keeping team parity in mind and leaving room for future growth.

  • Major Tech Employers: Thermo Fisher Scientific, Toast, Klaviyo, HubSpot, DraftKings
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, biotechnology, robotics, software, aerospace
  • Funding Landscape: $15.7 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Summit Partners, Volition Capital, Bain Capital Ventures, MassVentures, Highland Capital Partners
  • Research Centers and Universities: MIT, Harvard University, Boston College, Tufts University, Boston University, Northeastern University, Smithsonian Astrophysical Observatory, National Bureau of Economic Research, Broad Institute, Lowell Center for Space Science & Technology, National Emerging Infectious Diseases Laboratories
