Why This Role Is Important to Arcadia
 
Arcadia is seeking a Vice President, Research Network & Scientific Enablement to build, operationalize, and scale the Arcadia Research Collective. This role is responsible for translating Arcadia’s payer–provider footprint into a research-grade, repeatable capability that supports both collaborative research and funded research initiatives, as well as insight generation and study initiation efforts across providers, researchers, and life sciences organizations. 

This is an SME and convener role, not an account-ownership role. The VP serves as Arcadia’s internal authority on research networks and scientific enablement, designing operating models, setting standards, and enabling Account Managers and Commercial teams to engage effectively in research-driven life sciences use cases. 

A core focus of this role is bridging the research community and the life sciences ecosystem, improving collaboration, alignment, and execution between ARC participants and pharma / life sciences partners. 

What Success Looks Like
In 3 months
- Build a deep understanding of Arcadia’s Life Sciences strategy, data assets, and existing research activity. 
- Define the ARC operating model, including participation criteria, governance approach, and pilot structure. 
- Launch or formalize initial ARC pilots with clear success metrics. 
- Establish strong working relationships with Life Sciences Commercial, Product, Data, and Operations teams. 
- Begin supporting priority feasibility, insight, and research conversations as the scientific SME. 
- Partner with Commercial to shape early concepts for funded research initiatives, translating market interest into research-ready programs. 

In 6 months
- Operationalize ARC pilots into a consistent, repeatable workflow. 
- Expand ARC participation toward a critical mass of early network members. 
- Demonstrate tangible enablement impact by supporting active: 
o     Collaborative research 
o     Funded research initiatives 
o     Insight-driven studies 
- Actively support Commercial teams in structuring and advancing funded research initiatives. 
- Establish early publication and evidence-generation workflows. 
- Provide structured input into Life Sciences product and data roadmap priorities based on research signal. 

In 12 months
- Scale ARC to 20+ participating organizations with clear engagement cadence and governance. 
- Enable multiple active research efforts across: 
o     Collaborative research 
o     Funded research programs 
o     Insight-driven studies 
o     Study initiation and activation efforts 
- Consistently support Commercial teams in the development and execution of funded research initiatives, improving confidence, speed, and repeatability. 
- Deliver 5+ research publications or citations tied to ARC activity. 
- Establish ARC as a recognized, credible, and scalable research capability within Arcadia’s Life Sciences business. 
Demonstrate that ARC is materially improving research feasibility confidence, funded research execution readiness, and scientific credibility in the market. 

What You'll Be Doing

  • BUILD & OPERATIONALIZE THE ARCADIA RESEARCH COLLECTIVE
  • Design and launch the Arcadia Research Collective, including: 
  • o  Participation and onboarding models for provider and research organizations 
  • o  Governance, research oversight, and operating standards 
  • o  Scalable engagement and execution processes 
  • Design ARC to support multiple research modalities, including: 
  • o  Collaborative, multi-institutional research 
  • o  Sponsored and funded research programs 
  • o  Insight generation and exploratory research 
  • o  Study initiation, feasibility, and activation programs 
  • Design and execute initial ARC pilot programs, defining scope, success criteria, and learning objectives. 
  • Grow ARC from pilot phase to a repeatable operating model with 20+ participating organizations

    RESEARCH & ENABLEMENT & SCIENTIFIC SME LEADERSHIP
  • Serve as Arcadia’s research network and scientific SME across priority Life Sciences engagements. 
  • Apply prior experience building and operating research networks to inform ARC design, feasibility standards, and engagement models. 
  • Enable Account Managers, Partnerships, and Commercial teams by: 
  • o  Advising on research feasibility and study design considerations 
  • o  Translating life sciences research needs into ARC capabilities 
  • o  Providing scientific credibility in customer and partner discussions 
  • Ensure consistent, high-quality research narratives across Life Sciences GTM efforts. 
  •  
    BRIDGE RESEARCH COMMUNITIES AND LIFE SCIENCES
  • Act as a connector between: 
  • o  Provider-based research organizations and academic collaborators 
  • o  Pharma and life sciences research teams 
  • Promote improved collaboration and alignment between ARC participants and life sciences partners. 
  • Enable ARC participants to engage effectively in both collaborative research and funded research initiatives
  • Help research organizations understand life sciences research needs and constraints, and help life sciences teams navigate provider-based research environments. 
  • Facilitate research use cases that create mutual value for providers, researchers, and life sciences partners.

    CROSS-FUNCTION ENABLEMENT & OPERATING RIGOR
  • Establish processes to support: 
  • o  Peer-reviewed publications 
  • o  Abstracts, posters, and research citations 
  • Deliver 5+ research publications or citations annually as the network scales. 
  • Strengthen Arcadia’s positioning as a research-grade data and enablement platform.

    PRICING & VALUE ARTICULATION
  • Partner with Life Sciences Product, Data, and Operations leaders to: 
  • o  Surface research-driven roadmap priorities 
  • o  Improve readiness and usability of data for research use cases 
  • Support Commercial teams in the development and execution of funded research initiatives, including: 
  • o  Shaping research program concepts 
  • o  Assessing feasibility and execution readiness 
  • o  Aligning provider, researcher, and life sciences expectations 
  • Define and track KPIs for the research network, including: 
  • o  Network growth and engagement 
  • o  Research throughput and collaboration activity 
  • o  Enablement effectiveness for commercial and partnership teams 

What You'll Bring

  • 12–15+ years of experience in clinical research, real-world evidence, or research network operations 
  • Direct experience building or operating: 
  • o  Multi-institutional research networks or collaboratives 
  • o  Provider- or academic-based research programs 
  • Strong understanding of research governance and collaboration across providers, academics, and industry 
  • Proven ability to operate cross-functionally with clinical, commercial, data, and product teams 

Would Love For You To Have

  • Experience in research leadership roles at academic medical centers, CROs, RWE organizations, or life sciences companies 
  • Experience supporting peer-reviewed publications or funded research 
  • Familiarity with pharma expectations for research-grade data and collaboration models
