About the Role
The VP of Product is a senior leader responsible for overseeing Everway’s Instructing and Planning product pillars. This strategically important role drives the success of a diverse set of products that impact educators, learners, and administrators across multiple contexts.
Reporting to the EVP, Product, the VP leads Senior Product Managers and Product Managers in building solutions that deliver measurable outcomes for customers. The VP of Product combines strategic insight with operational excellence, ensuring that product vision, roadmaps, and execution are tightly aligned with Everway’s mission and business goals.
This is a highly visible leadership role with broad accountability for product performance, customer impact, and organizational growth.
Key ResponsibilitiesProduct Strategy & Vision- Define and communicate a clear product strategy across the Instructing and Planning pillars, aligned with company objectives.
- Balance long-term innovation with near-term delivery, ensuring both incremental improvements and transformative developments.
- Stay ahead of market trends, customer needs, and technology advancements—particularly in AI—to ensure product differentiation.
- Lead, mentor, and grow a high-performing team of Senior Product Managers and Product Managers.
- Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and innovation within product teams.
- Build alignment across teams to ensure consistent practices and decision-making across the product organization.
- Oversee the entire product lifecycle across multiple products, from discovery to launch and continuous improvement.
- Define and monitor key performance metrics, using data-driven insights to optimize product performance and inform decisions.
- Ensure products are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of usability, accessibility, and customer impact.
- Partner with Engineering, Design, Content, Marketing, Sales, and Customer Success to ensure products meet customer needs and achieve business outcomes.
- Represent the product pillars to executive leadership, providing updates on progress, trade-offs, and future direction.
- Support go-to-market execution with Product Marketing and Commercial teams, ensuring clear positioning and value communication.
- Act as a champion for customer needs across the product portfolio.
- Conduct and leverage customer research, competitive analysis, and market intelligence to shape product decisions.
- Build strong external relationships with partners, thought leaders, and industry stakeholders.
- 5+ years of senior product management experience, including experience managing and mentoring Senior Product Managers and teams at scale.
- Proven success overseeing multiple product lines and delivering measurable business and customer outcomes.
- Data-driven decision-making mindset, with experience leveraging quantitative and qualitative data and insights to drive decisions and measure success, along with a track record of instilling this mindset in teams you have managed.
- Proven experience driving the end-to-end transformation of a legacy product including platform migration, user transition, and the strategic sunsetting of legacy offerings while building and upskilling a high-performing product team.
- Strong strategic thinking combined with the ability to operationalize vision into execution.
- Familiarity with the application of artificial intelligence (AI) in product development and customer experiences.
- Excellent communication, influencing, and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience in EdTech, SaaS, content, or assistive technology industries.
- Track record of working across diverse product portfolios that include both content-driven and technology-driven solutions.
- Experience in PE-backed or high-growth environments.
- External representation experience (industry events, thought leadership, partnerships).
