Who is Flock?

Flock Safety is the leading safety technology platform, helping communities thrive by taking a proactive approach to crime prevention and security. Our hardware and software suite connects cities, law enforcement, businesses, schools, and neighborhoods in a nationwide public-private safety network. Trusted by over 5,000 communities, 4,500 law enforcement agencies, and 1,000 businesses, Flock delivers real-time intelligence while prioritizing privacy and responsible innovation.

We’re a high-performance, low-ego team driven by urgency, collaboration, and bold thinking. Working at Flock means tackling big challenges, moving fast, and continuously improving. It’s intense but deeply rewarding for those who want to make an impact.

With nearly $700M in venture funding and a $7.5B valuation, we’re scaling intentionally and seeking top talent to help build the impossible. If you value teamwork, ownership, and solving tough problems, Flock could be the place for you.

We’re looking for a Vice President of Corporate Development & Partnerships to lead and evolve our external ecosystem across integrations, APIs, strategic partnerships, and select corporate development initiatives.

This role sits at the intersection of product strategy, platform evolution, and partnership management in a complex ecosystem serving both the public safety and private sector. You will play a critical role in shaping how we work with partners, align external opportunities with product direction, and create long-term strategic leverage for the business.

This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who enjoys operating at the intersection of strategy, partnerships, and platform development — where success depends on navigating multiple stakeholder perspectives and translating complexity into durable, high-impact partnerships.

Key Responsibilities
  • Responsibility for our partnership and integration ecosystem, with a particular focus on integration strategy, marketplace of partnerships, and APIs

  • Build team of partners that when paired with our products collectively provides the end-to-end solutions customers want from us

  • Lead cross-functional coordination across Product, Engineering, Legal, Finance, and GTM teams to execute complex partnership initiatives to drive growth

  • Partner closely with Product and Engineering to align API governance, platform strategy, and partner needs

  • Further develop the corporate development function into a proactive, strategically driven capability — identifying, prioritizing, and advancing high-impact opportunities across partnerships and the broader ecosystem

  • Support M&A and strategic investment activity in partnership with Finance and executive leadership

  • Represent the company externally with partners, industry stakeholders, and ecosystem participants, bringing credibility, judgment, and a long-term perspective

Skillset — What You Bring / What You’ll Lead

What You Bring

  • Deep experience building and managing partnership ecosystems in complex, regulated, or multi-stakeholder environments

  • Strong intuition for API, integration, and platform strategy, including governance models and scaling considerations

  • Comfort operating in ecosystems where alignment must be actively managed across diverse partner incentives

  • Ability to quickly develop fluency in the public safety and law enforcement technology landscape, including CAD/RMS systems, body-worn camera vendors, and adjacent platforms

  • Proven ability to influence and align senior stakeholders across Product, Engineering, Legal, Finance, and executive leadership

  • Sound judgment and pragmatism — able to balance long-term strategic value with near-term execution

What You’ll Lead

  • The company’s overall partnership and integration strategy

  • Key external relationships across public-sector and private-sector ecosystems

  • The evolution of corporate development into a more proactive, strategic function

  • Select M&A and investment initiatives, with execution support as appropriate

  • Decision-making around partnership structures, governance, and prioritization

Feeling uneasy that you haven’t ticked every box? That’s okay — research shows candidates from underrepresented backgrounds often hesitate to apply unless they meet every qualification. If this role excites you, we encourage you to apply.
