Position Overview  

The VP, Market Access & Payer Strategist will play a leading role on brand assignments and new business opportunities. They will be the driver of market access strategy and payer marketing and pull through communications development, collaborating effectively across stakeholders. They will be a key client-facing representative for the agency and the Market Access Strategist function. Specifically, the strategist will be responsible for:  

  • Strong partnership with agency leadership across functions 
  • Ensures that customer, category, and cultural dynamics are effectively pulled through all agency projects  
  • Navigates accounts and teams through key strategic processes and projects across the market access and payer spectrum 
  • Serves as the resident expert on market access/payer legislation, trends and practices
  • Elevates client deliverables by consistently considering the broader market access landscape, and sharing relevant dynamics and insights
  • Assesses new products and identifies access barriers and opportunities  
  • Drives strategic recommendations, communications and deliverables for the team   
  • Leads the planning and execution of strategic client engagements  

Preferred Qualifications 

The ideal VP, Market Access & Payer Strategist will possess 10+ years of market access agency or biopharma experience (payer, PBM, and or health system access experience a plus). They will exhibit strong analytic, communications and problem-solving skills. They can both lead and collaborate effectively. They will have a track-record of driving and inspiring sound strategy.  They make connections and help others to see clearly in complex situations. They are consummate partners across the agency as well as with clients. They value helping others to develop solutions just as much as developing the solution themselves. They are seen as a leader within the agency and model strong behaviors and skills for developing strategists.  

Salary Range: $185,000 - $220,000

The salary range provided represents what a potential hire may expect to earn in this role at BGB. Actual salary decisions will be influenced by several factors that we use to determine overall fit, including experience (both direct and indirect), education, training, demonstrated qualifications, and organizational need. Salary is only one component of the total rewards package offered at BGB Group.
