You will take a talented existing team and evolve it into a world-class, metric-driven global organization.

You are not just a manager; you are the strategic counterpart to our Sales leadership and the voice of the customer to our Product team. Your mandate is to professionalize the "Technical Win." You will move us from relying on individual heroics help us to execute a scalable, repeatable, and high-velocity technical sales methodology.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Org Design & Scaling

  • Build the Machine: Transition the SE organization to a specialized, tiered global hierarchy (Enterprise, Partner SEs, and Value Engineering).
  • Global Expansion: Standardize operations across North America, EMEA, and APJ, ensuring cultural nuance while maintaining a unified "Torq Standard of Excellence."
  • Talent Magnet: Leverage your network to recruit top-tier talent.

Methodology & Execution

  • Own the POV: Redefine our Proof of Value (POV) process. Move from "testing features" to "proving business value." Reduce POV duration while increasing conversion rates.

  • Partner Ecosystem: Build a technical channel enablement program that allows partners to demo and deploy Torq independently, acting as a force multiplier.

Cross-Functional Leadership

  • Product Feedback Loop: Act as the primary filter for field feedback. Aggressively prioritize feature requests based on revenue impact and market trends, ensuring the Product team builds what sells.
  • Executive Presence: Serve as the Executive Sponsor on strategic accounts. You must be comfortable debating security strategy with Fortune 500 CISOs.

  • Experience at Scale: 10+ years in Pre-Sales/SE Leadership, with specific experience scaling an org from $50M to $100M+ ARR
  • Domain Expertise: Deep roots in Cybersecurity / SecOps. You understand the SOC, the pain of alert fatigue, and the competitive landscape (SOAR, XDR, SIEM).

  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, biotechnology, robotics, software, aerospace
  • Funding Landscape: $15.7 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Summit Partners, Volition Capital, Bain Capital Ventures, MassVentures, Highland Capital Partners
  • Research Centers and Universities: MIT, Harvard University, Boston College, Tufts University, Boston University, Northeastern University, Smithsonian Astrophysical Observatory, National Bureau of Economic Research, Broad Institute, Lowell Center for Space Science & Technology, National Emerging Infectious Diseases Laboratories
