About Blitzy

Blitzy is a Cambridge, MA based rapidly scaling AI startup. The Blitzy Platform is an autonomous software development platform designed for the enterprise.

We're backed by multiple tier 1 investors, have success as founders at the last start-up, and dozens of Generative AI patents to our names.

Blitzy enables development teams to transform six-month software projects into six-day turnarounds using the Blitzy Platform, an agentic platform that enables thousands of AI Agents to ‘think’ and cooperate for hours to bulk build software with precision. The platform precisely builds everything AI can deliver, typically 80% of any feature set or new product, while providing a human engineering guide listing the final 20% of tasks to get to production. With over 27 patents and counting, Blitzy is actively hiring in Cambridge, MA.

Compensation: Total Comp $200K-$250K, plus equity

Location: One Kendall Square, Cambridge MA 02139 (In-person role)

About the Role

We are looking for a Vice President of Finance & Operations to join our leadership team and build the financial, operational, and people systems foundation that powers Blitzy’s next phase of growth.

You will own finance, operations, and people systems — spanning forecasting, investor readiness, hiring processes, and cross-functional infrastructure. You’ll partner closely with the CEO to ensure Blitzy operates with precision as it scales across enterprise engagements and product lines.

Blitzy partners with Pilot for fractional CFO and accounting support, giving you strong financial infrastructure from day one while you focus on modeling, systems, and strategic scaling.

What Success Looks Like
  • You build and maintain a financial model that drives clarity around growth, burn, and margin.
  • You prepare Blitzy for institutional venture capital raises, leading data-room, diligence, and board-material readiness.
  • You implement and optimize QuickBooks, Rippling, HubSpot, and Ramp with clean data flows and reliable reporting.
  • You take an active role in hiring, participating directly in interviews to assess culture and role fit.
  • You design and scale structured hiring, compensation, and performance systems across the company.
  • You drive company-wide operational cadence (OKRs, reviews, dashboards) that enables speed and accountability.
  • You serve as the connective tissue between finance, people, legal, and GTM operations.
Responsibilities

Finance & Investor Readiness

  • Own Blitzy’s financial model, forecasting, and cash planning.
  • Build investor-grade metrics and dashboards (ARR, CAC payback, NRR, burn multiple, SaaS/AI COGS).
  • Oversee monthly close, revenue recognition, and compliance with Pilot’s accounting/CFO team.
  • Manage vendor contracts, SaaS spend, and procurement for fiscal efficiency.
  • Support fundraising strategy and investor communications, preparing the company for large-scale venture capital engagement.

Operations & Systems

  • Design and operationalize business systems: QuickBooks, Rippling, HubSpot, Ramp, Carta, Notion.
  • Lead business operations and OKR cadence, ensuring alignment across Sales, Product, and Engineering.
  • Oversee legal, compliance, and insurance frameworks, including SOC 2 readiness.
  • Partner with Customer Success on enterprise invoicing, revenue recognition, and renewal forecasting.

People & Hiring

  • Partner with the CEO and managers to plan headcount and compensation budgets.
  • Build and run structured hiring processes — interview loops, scorecards, and offer workflows.
  • Personally participate in interviews to evaluate candidates for cultural alignment and leadership potential.
  • Collaborate with recruiters to standardize job descriptions, offers, and compensation bands.
  • Implement performance management and review cycles tied to company OKRs.
  • Ensure HR data accuracy and compliance within Rippling and internal workflows.
What Makes You a Fit
  • 7–12+ years in finance, operations, or strategy at a venture-backed software or AI company.
  • Demonstrated success preparing a company for institutional venture investment and managing due diligence.
  • Fluent in QuickBooks, Rippling, and HubSpot, with operational comfort connecting finance, HR, and CRM data.
  • Strong grasp of SaaS and AI metrics (ARR, CAC, LTV, burn multiple, NRR).
  • Hands-on systems builder experienced with Pilot, Ramp, Carta, and Notion.
  • Confident communicator with board-level polish and strong analytical storytelling skills.
  • CPA, MBA, or CFA a plus (not required).
Compensation
  • Base Salary: $200,000 – $250,000, plus equity
  • Benefits: Full health/dental/vision, 401(k), unlimited PTO
  • Work Environment: In person at Blitzy’s Cambridge office
A Way to Stand Out
  • Proven ability to interview and assess senior talent for culture and role fit.
  • Experience building integrated finance + people + CRM systems from the ground up.
  • Track record of working directly with VCs, board members, and executive teams during growth phases.
