About the Role:
Lyra Health is seeking an exceptional executive to lead our efforts to expand beyond our core business. The VP of Corporate Development will identify and execute on opportunities for organic and inorganic expansion in collaboration with Lyra’s leadership team. The VP will report to Lyra’s CFO and serve as a strategic thought partner to Lyra’s executive team.
This role can be carried out from our Burlingame, CA headquarters, hybrid, or fully remote/virtually, with periodic travel to headquarters or elsewhere as needed. Remote candidates must be physically located within the United States.
Responsibilities
- Partner with Lyra’s executive team to define and execute Lyra's corporate development strategy, including organic and inorganic growth opportunities
- Develop a comprehensive understanding of the Mental Health market and adjacent markets
- Develop a watch list of global M&A targets
- Proactively develop strong relationships with target company management
- Propose acquisition targets to Lyra executive team and board of directors
- Lead due diligence + acquisition process for M&A transactions
- Lead post-close integration, where appropriate
Qualifications
- 10+ years experience in private equity/venture capital investing or equivalent experience with a focus on healthcare services + technology
- Strategic problem solver capable of navigating complex business processes and stakeholders
- Experience sourcing + negotiating M&A transactions
- Experience leading due diligence in healthcare M&A transactions, including oversight of accounting and legal diligence workstreams
- Collaborative team player capable of leading diverse, cross-functional teams
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills; adept at preparing and presenting recommendations to executive and board audiences
- Excellent analytical skills, including proficiency with MS Excel
- Self-starter, capable of driving business outcomes with minimal direction
- Comfort with ambiguity and rapidly changing priorities
