Your role at Dynatrace
The Vice President of Corporate Communications is responsible for shaping, scaling and driving awareness for Dynatrace. This is a pivitol role for ensuring our narrative is powerful, consistent, and resonates with all key audiences - from media and influencers to employees and customers. You will lead a talented team and work closely across Marketing, Product, G&A, and with our executive leadership to drive our communications to new heights.
The VP of Corp Comms will oversee global communications, including public relations, internal and executive communications, analyst relations, and reputation management.
The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader with deep experience in SaaS and public company communications, exceptional messaging instincts, can translate technical information into clear storytelling, and has a track record of building high-performing teams in dynamic, fast-paced environments. You will be an awareness partner across marketing and other departments to ensure a consistent and compelling narrative across all channels and touchpoints, reinforcing our position as a market leader.
This role willserve as a core member of the Dynatrace Marketing Leadership Team, reporting directly to the CMO.
Key Responsibilities
Corporate Communications
  • Develop and implement communications strategy aligning with Dynatrace's business objectives, including awareness building and market positioning.
  • Lead the Dynatrace overarching corporate narrative, ensuring consistency across internal and external channels.
  • Serve as strategic communications advisor to CMO and extended executive team - developing thought leadership and messaging for high-impact moments.
  • Lead visibility strategies across owned, earned, and paid channels - including media, thought leadership, and speaking engagements.
  • Oversee the creation and distribution of a proactive communications program, including press releases, social media content, blog posts, etc.
  • Partner across Marketing for integrated marketing programs.
  • Build a communications function that is AI forward.

Media, Industry Analyst & Public Relations
  • Lead the public relations strategy - including thought leadership, product launches, customer and partner success stories, corporate milestones, and brand support.
  • Manage media relations and influencer engagement, including proactive outreach, issues response, and media training for executives.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key industry analysts; shape the strategy for analyst evaluations and briefings in partnership with Product Marketing and Product teams.
  • Serve as the lead communications advisor during issues and reactive communications.

Internal Communications
  • Oversee internal communications strategy and execution - ensuring transparency, alignment, and engagement across the organization.
  • Engage with employees using internal comms channels for improved company communications, including the company intranet and Slack.
  • Partner with People & Culture organization to communicate company priorities and change management initiatives.
  • Support DLT on cohesive internal comms program.

Team Leadership & Operational Accountability
  • Build and lead a high performing global comms organization - fostering a culture of ownership, impact and continuous improvement.
  • Manage agency relationships and global communications partners.
  • Define, establish and execute against MCGs, Marketing Goals, processes, and operating rhythms for the communications function.
  • Oversee the communications team operations including budget management and efficient allocation of resources.

What will help you succeed
Required Qualifications:
  • 15+ years' experience in corporate communications, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role at a B2B SaaS or tech company.
  • Demonstrated success in developing and executing strategic communications plans that deliver measurable results.
  • Extensive experience managing media relations, crisis communications, and executive communications for a publicly traded company.
  • Exceptional writing, editing, and verbal communication skills, with the ability to distill complex information into clear, compelling messages.
  • Strong technical understanding and a proven ability to translate complex technical concepts into a communications program that drives clarity and engagement for all audiences.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Proven leadership skills with a track record of building and managing high-performing, collaborative teams.
  • Strong business acumen and the ability to operate as a strategic partner to C-level executives.
  • A forward-thinking and proactive mindset, with the grit and guts to pursue ambitious goals and navigate a fast-paced environment.
  • Travel is Required.

Compensation and Rewards
  • The base salary range for this role is $280,000 - $390,000. When determining your salary, we consider your experience, skills, education, and work location.
  • Our total compensation package includes unlimited personal time off, an employee stock purchase plan, and a reward system.
  • We also offer medical/dental benefits, and a company matching 401(k) plan for retirement
