  • Build a co-announcement program with brokers, employers, and plans, publishing localized and verticalized versions
  • Own our internal and external speaking bench, coaching spokespeople, running media training, and post-mortems
  • Build out standards, workflows, and KPIs and track impact, with an eye toward quality and efficiency
  • Maintain messaging hygiene with Legal/Clinical (substantiation, privacy, disclosures) and keep a current crisis plan based on the largest business risks
  • Select, brief, and manage agencies to defined outputs and deadlines
What you will bring to the team:
  • 8+ years in communications (health-tech or healthcare preferred; in-house + agency mix helpful)
  • Demonstrate working knowledge of employer benefits, broker/consultant dynamics, payer/provider integrations, and basic policy/regulatory guardrails is highly preferred
  • Write and edit quickly in plain language with the ability to develop clear stories with sources and methods
  • Recent placements in ICP-relevant trades and at least one tier-1 feature tied to a product, customer, or data story
  • A track record of managing agencies to outcomes (briefs, pitches, placement targets); escalate or replace when needed
Compensation Transparency:

The base salary range for this position is $220,000 - $250,000. Individual compensation for this role will depend on various factors, including qualifications, skills, and applicable laws. In addition to base compensation, this role is eligible to participate in our equity incentive and competitive benefits plans, including but not limited to: flexible PTO, Medical/Dental/Vision plan options, 401(k), Teladoc Health and more.

What you need to know about the Boston Tech Scene

Boston is a powerhouse for technology innovation thanks to world-class research universities like MIT and Harvard and a robust pipeline of venture capital investment. Host to the first telephone call and one of the first general-purpose computers ever put into use, Boston is now a hub for biotechnology, robotics and artificial intelligence — though it’s also home to several B2B software giants. So it’s no surprise that the city consistently ranks among the greatest startup ecosystems in the world.

Key Facts About Boston Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 269,000; 9.4% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Thermo Fisher Scientific, Toast, Klaviyo, HubSpot, DraftKings
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, biotechnology, robotics, software, aerospace
  • Funding Landscape: $15.7 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Summit Partners, Volition Capital, Bain Capital Ventures, MassVentures, Highland Capital Partners
  • Research Centers and Universities: MIT, Harvard University, Boston College, Tufts University, Boston University, Northeastern University, Smithsonian Astrophysical Observatory, National Bureau of Economic Research, Broad Institute, Lowell Center for Space Science & Technology, National Emerging Infectious Diseases Laboratories
