With a patented modular open systems architecture, our DAC platform allows for plug-and-play upgrades, mass production, unlimited scalability, and rapid technology iterations.

CarbonCapture Inc. along with its Canadian subsidiary, True North Carbon, is seeking a senior commercial leader to drive our Canadian market strategy—focused on scaling Direct Air Capture (DAC) deployments, securing off-take agreements for CDR credits, and accessing public and private capital. This role is central to our efforts in Canada and will work closely with our CEO, CFO, and VP Projects, to execute on project development, government engagement, and capital formation.

Responsibilities

  • Lead commercial efforts to develop DAC projects in Alberta and across Canada.
  • Engage with Alberta and federal governments, including securing non-dilutive funding   (e.g., NRCan, Canadian Growth Fund, Emission Reductions Alberta, etc.)
  • Build partnerships with emitters, storage providers, and First Nations communities.
  • Structure and negotiate off-take agreements for DAC carbon removal credits.
  • Support equity and project finance raises with investors and strategic partners including accessing Federal and Provincial Investment Tax Credits.

Requirements

  • 15+ years in energy, infrastructure, or climate technology.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Economics, or related field. MBA an asset.
  • Strong experience working with Alberta and federal government agencies.
  • Proven track record developing large-scale projects and raising capital.
  • Familiarity with Canadian carbon markets and CDR policy landscape.
  • Experience with Indigenous partnership development in Canada.
  • Have an established network of relevant industry connections and the drive to build and maintain a strong network of strategic business relationships.
  • Strong knowledge of financial modeling, investment analysis, and risk management.
  • Commitment to sustainability and a passion for the carbon removal and energy technology industries.
  • Intellectual curiosity and creativity; entrepreneurial spirit, welcoming and thriving in ambiguous and ever-changing environments.
