The Role: Motion Graphic Designer
Genius Sports is seeking a Motion Graphic Designer to design and create innovative, broadcast ready content generated from our award-winning video augmentation pipeline. This role is pivotal in transforming complex sports data into compelling content that resonates with fans and appeals to brands by leveraging emerging technologies.
What you'll do:
- Design high-quality graphics and visual assets for live sports broadcasts, digital platforms, and partner activations.
- Work within clients brand guidelines while also contributing fresh, creative ideas to push a visual identity forward.
- Collaborate with motion designers, 3D artists, and developers to integrate design into broadcast and interactive experiences.
- Assist in the creation of 3D models and assets using Maya.
- Ensure projects are delivered on time, on brand, and to the highest production standards.
- Support cross-functional teams with design needs, from concept to execution.
What we're looking for:
- 2+ years of professional graphic design experience, ideally within sports, entertainment, or broadcast.
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effects, etc.).
- Working knowledge of Maya (or similar 3D software) for modeling, texturing, and rendering.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication skills and attention to detail.
- Experience designing for live sports environments or broadcast graphics.
- Familiarity with real-time graphics platforms (e.g., Unreal Engine, Unity, Vizrt, Chyron).
- Basic coding/programming skills to support design solutions.
- Passion for sports and a deep understanding of how fans consume live content.
The salary for this role is based on an annualized salary range of $80,000 - $110,000. This role will also be eligible to take part in Genius Sports Group's benefits plan.
