Position Summary: Research is the messaging and strategy backbone of campaigns. We scour all sorts of publicly-available records and sources to gain a deep understanding of the topics and candidates we research. Our Video Research Associates identify and catalog video assets on these subjects, ensuring that all members of the DNC's Research, Communications and Mobilization departments have access to them for use in social media posts, press releases and other external products. • Experience with media monitoring services and clipping tools strongly preferred (including but not limited to LexisNexis, SnapStream, TVEyes, and Snagit)
  • Ability to work independently, ask questions, remain responsive, and keep open lines of communication in a fast-paced, dynamic environment

Salary: The starting salary for the Video Research Associate position is $54,100.00, on an annualized basis, commensurate with experience and qualifications.

This is a full-time, non-exempt position, which means you will be eligible for overtime pay for hours worked in excess of 40 in a given workweek. This position is in the bargaining unit represented by SEIU Local-500.

  • Major Tech Employers: Thermo Fisher Scientific, Toast, Klaviyo, HubSpot, DraftKings
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, biotechnology, robotics, software, aerospace
  • Funding Landscape: $15.7 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Summit Partners, Volition Capital, Bain Capital Ventures, MassVentures, Highland Capital Partners
  • Research Centers and Universities: MIT, Harvard University, Boston College, Tufts University, Boston University, Northeastern University, Smithsonian Astrophysical Observatory, National Bureau of Economic Research, Broad Institute, Lowell Center for Space Science & Technology, National Emerging Infectious Diseases Laboratories
