About the Role

  • 20 hrs/week

  • Unpaid, 6 month leadership program

  • Fully remote

  • Marketing team

  • OPT/CPT eligible

  • Able to commit to weekly 60-minute meetings (PST); Monday & Friday @10am Company Program Meeting, Monday @9am Team Meeting, Tuesday @10am Content Sync, Thursday @10am Team Deepwork, and several 1:1 coachings

Responsibilities

  • Edit and assemble raw footage into polished, engaging video content aligned with brand and project goals.

  • Collaborate with creative teams, marketing, and stakeholders to understand project vision and deliver compelling visual stories.

  • Cut, trim, and sequence video clips, adding transitions, effects, and motion graphics as needed.

  • Enhance video quality through color correction, sound design, and audio balancing.

  • Incorporate graphics, captions, music, and branding elements to elevate viewer engagement.

  • Manage multiple video projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines and quality standards.

  • Adapt content for various platforms (social media, web, internal use) with attention to formatting and audience preferences.

  • Review and revise edits based on feedback from stakeholders and performance insights.

  • Organize and maintain video assets, project files, and media libraries efficiently.

  • Stay current with video editing trends, tools, and storytelling techniques.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Film Production, Video Editing, Multimedia, Communications, or related field (or currently pursuing).

  • Proficiency in video editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, DaVinci Resolve, or similar).

  • Strong understanding of video composition, pacing, and storytelling techniques.

  • Ability to transform raw footage into cohesive and engaging narratives.

  • Experience working with digital media formats and exporting for multiple platforms.

  • Strong attention to detail in editing, timing, and visual continuity.

  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet tight deadlines.

  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.

  • Comfort working in a fast-paced, creative environment.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with motion graphics and animation tools (e.g., Adobe After Effects).

  • Familiarity with color grading and audio editing techniques.

  • Knowledge of social media trends and video optimization strategies (e.g., TikTok, Instagram, YouTube).

  • Basic understanding of cinematography principles (lighting, framing, shot composition).

  • Experience working with branded content, marketing campaigns, or storytelling projects.

  • Ability to incorporate feedback and iterate quickly on edits.

  • Portfolio demonstrating a range of video editing projects and styles.

  • Understanding of content strategy and audience engagement metrics.

  • Experience with collaborative tools and workflows in creative teams.
