About this role:

Wells Fargo is seeking a Vice President in our Technology Finance group within Commercial Banking. The Technology Finance division is an industry leader in delivering secured cash flow financing solutions to primarily private equity-owned middle market enterprise software companies throughout the U.S. and Europe. In this role, you will:

  • Actively work to evaluate, structure and present recommendations on transactions within the portfolio to Senior management and Independent Risk Management

  • Lead a deal team in conducting due diligence, performing credit analysis, preparing high quality credit modification memoranda and executing transactions

  • Lead the review and negotiation of legal documentation in consultation with internal and external legal counsel

  • Lead or participate in building and maintaining effective relationships with existing clients within their products through regular virtual and in-person meetings with clients' executive leadership and finance teams, superior service and great execution, including sharing relevant information with coverage partners

  • Independently review and analyze moderately complex client portfolios or partner with senior peers on more complex portfolios for key issues related to cash flow, liquidity, leverage, working capital, debt coverage, collateral and enterprise value analysis, and repayment sources, including for use in periodic reviews as well as interim underwriting memoranda

  • Monitor client financial performance through review of financial reporting, review and approval of portfolio monitoring reports prepared by Analysts / Associates and presentation in regular portfolio review meetings with Senior management and Independent Risk Management to manage risk and lead problem loan resolutions, where applicable

  • Review and ensure timely completion of portfolio servicing requirements including periodic valuation analyses and risk rating reviews

  • Partner with coverage teams within the context of individual deals and client relationships to conduct effective meetings and understand clients’ businesses, strategic objectives, operational priorities, and financial positions to identify and execute on opportunities for modifications, renewals, and refinancing

  • Collaborate and consult with peers and functional partners to resolve client servicing requests and inquiries related to their product

  • Independently resolve moderately complex situations while developing a sound understanding of policies, procedures, and compliance requirements to meet business objectives and partner with senior peers for more complex issues

  • Partner with product management functional partners to provide feedback on evolving market needs to enable the innovation, design, and delivery of credit solutions more effectively

  • Contribute to large-scale planning related to a given product and/or specialty’s business objectives via specialized project work and/or assignment

  • Serve as a mentor for lower level staff, including a focus on coaching and accountability

Required Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of Mid-Corporate Portfolio Management experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education

Desired Qualifications:

  • Advanced Microsoft Office (Excel and PowerPoint) skills

  • Experience with detailed financial analysis, credit analysis, valuation, financial modeling and knowledge of accounting principles and concepts

  • Comfort with reviewing, interpreting and negotiating legal documentation

  • Experience working with private equity and/or other financial sponsors

  • Strong analytical skills, with heightened attention to detail and accuracy

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment

  • Background in leveraged credit underwriting, investment banking, leveraged finance, consulting or accounting

  • Knowledge of the software/technology sector and/or recurring revenue lending

Job Expectations:

  • Ability to travel up to 10% of the time 

  • This position is not eligible for Visa sponsorship 

  • This position offers a hybrid work schedule

Pay Range
 

Reflected is the base pay range offered for this position. Pay may vary depending on factors including but not limited to achievements, skills, experience, or work location. The range listed is just one component of the compensation package offered to candidates.

$138,500.00 - $287,600.00
