Job Title: Vice President, Senior Software Engineer, Applications

Job Duties: Design, develop, and maintain full stack applications using Java and UI technologies. Solve complex business problems by implementing efficient and scalable software solutions. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and analyze requirements, ensuring alignment with business objectives. Ensure the quality and performance of applications through rigorous testing, code reviews, and continuous integration practices. Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends and technologies to continuously improve the development process. Participate in Agile development processes, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives. Mentor and guide junior engineers to foster a culture of continuous learning and improvement. Contribute to the architectural decisions and technical strategy of the engineering team.

Qualifications: Master's degree (or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, or a related field and 4 years of experience in the job offered, or a related occupation working with both front-end and back-end technologies. Four (4) years of experience in each of the following skill sets: • Programming using Java technologies, including Java Swing, Spring, Hibernate, JDBC, AOP, Streams and Threads. • UI technologies and frameworks including Angular or React, NgRx and Nx. • Messaging and caching technologies including Apache Cassandra and Apache Kafka. • Distributed systems and technologies such as Apache Zookeeper, Google Protobuf, GRPC and Apache Ignite. • Databases including Sybase ASE, Sybase IQ , Microsoft SQL Server, and Snowflake. • Front-end development skills with Typescript Angular, HTML5/CSS3, and Single SPA Angular. • Git, Apache Maven, dependency management and Microsoft Azure ADO pipeline. • Agile development processes and practices.

For New York, NY Only the salary range for this position is USD$169,400.00 - USD$215,000.00 . Additionally, employees are eligible for an annual discretionary bonus, and benefits including healthcare, leave benefits, and retirement benefits. BlackRock operates a pay-for-performance compensation philosophy and your total compensation may vary based on role, location, and firm, department and individual performance.
