Base Salary: Starting at $200,000 + Commission

Build the Next Stage of Commercial Growth
Medaxis is seeking an accomplished Vice President, Sales & Channel Strategy to lead the U.S. commercial organization and help shape the next stage of growth for a differentiated wound-care company.
Reporting directly to the CEO and serving as a member of the Senior Leadership Team, this executive will have responsibility for national sales performance across acute and non-acute markets, while strengthening Medaxis' direct sales execution, DME and distribution channels, strategic partnerships, and overall commercial operating discipline.
This is a builder role—not a maintenance position.
The successful candidate will be equally comfortable developing commercial strategy and working alongside the field to make it happen. This leader will translate strategy into executable sales playbooks, strengthen forecasting and accountability, develop talent, optimize channel performance, and build the repeatable commercial processes required to deliver sustainable, profitable growth.
The VP will play an important role in maximizing the opportunity of Medaxis' established Negative Pressure Wound Therapy (NPWT) platform while helping accelerate the commercial potential of the differentiated HydroPrep™ product line.
What You'll Lead
Drive National Sales Performance
  • Own national revenue, profitability, budget and quota performance across acute and non-acute markets.
  • Translate company strategy into segment-specific commercial playbooks covering targeting, access, evaluation, conversion and utilization.
  • Establish a disciplined commercial operating cadence with clear metrics, accountability and corrective action when performance falls short.
  • Own forecast accuracy and commercial inputs into annual operating plans.
  • Manage sales budgets and commercial investments with a focus on profitable growth and return.
  • Improve revenue quality through disciplined pricing, product mix, contracting and channel management.

Build a High-Performance Sales Organization
  • Assess and continuously strengthen the sales organization across talent, structure, territories, compensation, incentives and capabilities.
  • Recruit, retain, coach and develop high-performing commercial talent.
  • Create a culture of accountability, urgency, transparency and measurable performance.
  • Strengthen pipeline management, account planning, sales process and field execution.
  • Remain highly visible in the field and close to customers, sales representatives and channel partners.

Expand Market Access Through Channels & Strategic Partnerships
  • Develop and strengthen relationships with DMEs, distributors, IDNs, GPOs and other strategic partners that can expand access and accelerate adoption.
  • Build channel strategies that complement and strengthen direct sales execution.
  • Negotiate commercially attractive agreements that align partner incentives with Medaxis' growth and profitability objectives.
  • Establish partner business reviews and scorecards measuring pipeline, revenue, utilization, commitments and execution.
  • Identify opportunities to expand access across both acute and non-acute care environments.

Partner Across the Business
  • Collaborate closely with Marketing on positioning, product launches, evidence requirements and customer insights.
  • Bring customer, competitive and field intelligence into company strategy and commercial decision-making.
  • Partner effectively with functional leaders across the organization to remove barriers to growth and improve execution.
  • Build a strong, trusted working relationship with the CEO and Senior Leadership Team.
  • Communicate commercial performance, priorities, opportunities and risks clearly to executive leadership and the Board.

What We're Looking For
  • Bachelor's degree in Business or a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience; MBA preferred.
  • Significant senior commercial leadership experience within wound care and/or NPWT medical devices.
  • Direct wound-care experience is required.
  • Strong understanding of NPWT commercial models, including capital equipment, disposables, recurring revenue and systems-based selling.
  • Demonstrated success driving sustained revenue growth in complex, reimbursement-driven and highly competitive healthcare markets.
  • Experience building, scaling or transforming sales organizations.
  • Demonstrated success leading both direct sales and channel-partner strategies.
  • Strong experience working with DMEs and distribution partners within wound care or NPWT.
  • Demonstrated commercial success across both acute and non-acute care markets.
  • Strong understanding of pricing, contracting, reimbursement, channel economics and revenue quality.
  • Ability to travel approximately 50% across the United States.

The Leadership Style That Will Succeed
This role is well suited to a commercial executive who:
  • Thinks strategically but remains close to customers, the field and day-to-day execution.
  • Knows how to turn commercial strategy into repeatable processes, playbooks and measurable results.
  • Uses data, pipeline visibility and forecasting discipline to identify problems early and take action.
  • Understands how to balance direct sales, DME, distribution and strategic channel relationships.
  • Builds strong teams through clear expectations, coaching and accountability.
  • Is comfortable operating in a smaller, entrepreneurial organization where executives move fluidly between strategy and execution.
  • Brings urgency and resilience while maintaining a collaborative, transparent leadership style.
  • Makes pragmatic commercial decisions and continuously looks for ways to improve execution.
  • Communicates clearly and can align teams, partners and senior stakeholders around ambitious growth objectives.

What Medaxis Provides
  • Comprehensive benefits plan
  • Money Purchase Plan
  • Generous PTO
  • Fourteen paid holidays
  • The opportunity to have a meaningful impact on the growth and development of a specialized wound-care organization
