Position Overview:
As the Vice President of Product Marketing at Klaviyo, you will play a pivotal role in defining and driving our product marketing strategy to differentiate Klaviyo in a competitive landscape. You will lead a dynamic team to elevate our product offerings, craft compelling narratives, and execute go-to-market strategies that resonate with our eCommerce and direct-to-consumer clients. Your expertise will ensure that Klaviyo's solutions are positioned as the go-to platform for businesses seeking advanced marketing automation and customer engagement.
How You Will Make a Difference:

  • Strategic Vision: Develop and execute a strategic product marketing plan that positions Klaviyo as the leading solution for eCommerce and direct-to-consumer businesses. Align product positioning with market needs, customer pain points, and competitive differentiation.
  • Market Insights: Conduct comprehensive market research and competitive analysis to identify key trends, emerging needs, and competitive threats. Use these insights to guide product development, refine messaging, and identify new growth opportunities.
  • Product Positioning: Develop product positioning and messaging that differentiates our products in the market.
  • Go-to-Market Leadership: Lead the development and execution of go-to-market strategies for new product features, updates, and launches. Collaborate with Enablement, Product, Sales, and Customer Success teams to ensure successful market entry and adoption. Produce product marketing collateral and work with other team members to ensure the best quality materials and information is presented to our customers and prospects.
  • Sales Enablement: Communicate the product's value proposition to the sales team, and develop the sales tools that support the selling process of your products.Collaborate extensively with Sales Enablement on the creation and evolution of our sales content for every segment and function, from initial meeting to final close deck.
  • Product Launches: Plan the market launch of new products, and manage the cross-functional implementation of the plan, to ensure new product releases are successfully delivered to the market quickly and efficiently.
  • Team Leader: Build, mentor, and manage a high-performing product marketing team. Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and accountability to drive team performance and professional growth.
  • Performance Metrics: Define and track key performance indicators for product marketing initiatives. Use data to measure the effectiveness of strategies, optimize campaigns, and drive continuous improvement.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Act as the key liaison between product marketing and other departments. Communicate product strategies, updates, and market insights to internal stakeholders, ensuring alignment across the organization.
  • Product Evangelist: Act as key public spokesperson, keep the press and analysts informed of Klaviyo's product strategy and progress. Partner with Analyst Relations to evangelize our point of view on the market to the analyst community and to ensure we receive the highest possible ratings.


Qualifications:

  • Experience: 10+ years in product marketing with a proven track record in SaaS or technology, preferably within the marketing automation or CRM space. Experience in the eCommerce or direct-to-consumer sector is highly desirable.
  • Messaging & Product Positioning: Ideas that wow. Strategic thinker with insights on the industry and an ability to create market moving positioning. Expertise in crafting and executing strategies that leverage competitive analysis and market trends to drive differentiation and growth.
  • Leadership: Strong leadership skills with a demonstrated ability to inspire and manage a team in a fast-paced, high-growth environment. Proven experience in driving product marketing strategies and achieving measurable results.
  • Communication: Exceptional communication skills with the ability to effectively convey complex ideas to a variety of audiences, including executive leadership, customers, and industry analysts.
  • Executive Leadership: Confident personality and strong interpersonal skills with a track record of influencing outside span of control. Ability to provide a point of view and subsequently influence product direction.


The pay range for this role is listed below. Sales roles are also eligible for variable compensation and hourly non-exempt roles are eligible for overtime in accordance with applicable law. This role is eligible for benefits, including: medical, dental and vision coverage, health savings accounts, flexible spending accounts, 401(k), flexible paid time off and company-paid holidays and a culture of learning that includes a learning allowance and access to a professional coaching service for all employees.
Base Pay Range For US Locations:
$300,000 - $400,000 USD
