You know the moment. It’s the first notes of that song you love, the intro to your favorite movie, or simply the sound of someone you love saying “hello.” It’s in these moments that sound matters most.

At Bose, we believe sound is the most powerful force on earth. We’ve dedicated ourselves to improving it for more than 60 years. And we’re passionate down to our bones about making whatever you’re listening to a little more magical.

Job Description

Wherever great sound matters, Bose wants to be there. That’s what drives the Audio Technology Business Unit at Bose — a fast-moving, entrepreneurial group focused on bringing Bose technology to millions of consumers through smart, strategic partnerships. We apply decades of research and audio expertise to new industries, products, and markets where Bose has not traditionally played – partnering with other companies to integrate our technologies into their offerings with "Sound by Bose” and “Powered by Bose” licensed brands.

Join the Audio Technologies team and help bring the power of Bose sound to new places, new partners, and millions of people around the world.

Role Overview

As a key member of the Audio Technology Business leadership team, the Vice President of Product Management & Innovation Strategy will be responsible for shaping and executing the product vision, strategy, and roadmap for Bose’s newest and fastest growing business unit. This role requires a strategic thinker and hands-on leader with a proven record of driving product innovation, cultivating developer ecosystems, and building technology portfolios that deliver market and customer value. Partnering across functions and with external stakeholders, this leader will ensure that Bose maintains its position at the forefront of audio technology.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership

  • Define and lead the overall product management and innovation strategy for the business unit, aligned with Bose’s growth objectives.

  • Identify and harness emerging technologies, industry trends, and customer needs to shape differentiated product and licensing opportunities.

Product Portfolio Management

  • Own the 3-year Audio Technology roadmap, ensuring it incorporates breakthrough technologies that customers value.

  • Prioritize product development initiatives based on strategic fit, market demand, and value creation potential.

  • Collaborate with Engineering and Global Research (Audio Lab to the World) to align technology development with portfolio launch timelines.

Innovation Development

  • Partner with Research and IP teams to identify new licensing opportunities and innovative product concepts.

  • Build a culture of innovation that embraces agility, experimentation, and continuous improvement.

  • Translate cutting edge research into scalable, market-ready offerings.

Cross-functional Collaboration

  • Work closely with R&D, Business Development, Sales, Legal, and Marketing to drive licensing negotiations, product launches, and go-to-market strategies.

  • Cultivate relationships with external partners, licensors, and industry stakeholders to broaden opportunities and accelerate adoption of Bose technologies.

Team Leadership

  • Build, inspire, and lead a high performing product management and innovation team.

  • Establish clear KPIs and success metrics to measure product performance and team impact.

  • Develop talent and foster an inclusive, high energy culture centered on customer centricity, innovation and operational excellence.

Market & Customer Insights

  • Leverage deep market research, competitive analysis, and customer feedback to shape product and licensing strategies.

  • Continuously refine product offerings and explore new business models to unlock value creation.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Computer Science, or related field; MBA or advanced degree strongly preferred.

  • 10+ years of experience in product management, innovation strategy, or related roles within technology, licensing, or IP-driven businesses.

  • Proven track record of bringing breakthrough technologies to market and developing scalable licensing models.

  • Deep understanding of emerging technologies, patent landscapes, and global licensing frameworks.

  • Exceptional strategic acumen, leadership presence, and communication skills.

  • Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional initiatives and manage partnerships at the executive level.
