Location: Newton, MA
Reports To: Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO)

This Hybrid role requires in-person work at our Newton, MA headquarters.

This position is based out of our beautiful corporate office in Newton, MA.

Bright Horizons seeks a visionary Vice President of Org Culture and Engagement who will champion an integrated strategy to bolster our workforce capabilities. This executive will lead the alignment of engagement, diverse perspectives, and inclusive cultural initiatives with our core business strategy, focusing on attracting, developing, mobilizing, and optimizing talent across the organization. Key Responsibilities:

  • Integrated Strategic Leadership: Craft and implement an overarching strategy that integrates engagement, culture, and talent management processes to enhance organizational effectiveness and drive business outcomes. Ensure alignment with global business objectives to reflect our international presence.
  • Culture and Engagement Advocacy: Promote a cohesive organizational culture that supports innovation and inclusivity, aligning with our strategic goals to enhance employee engagement and productivity. Leverage our Better Together and Employee Resource Groups (ERGs) to foster a diverse and inclusive workplace.
  • Fostering a Culture of Recognition: Shape innovative approaches to employee appreciation and recognition programs to meet the needs of the evolving workforce and varied workplaces across the organization, nurturing a strong sense of belonging across our internal communities.
  • Comprehensive diverse perspectives and inclusive culture Framework: Develop a robust framework that intersects with all aspects of talent management, from recruitment and onboarding to development and retention, ensuring talent is leveraged as a key driver of organizational success.
  • Data Insights: In collaboration with other stakeholders, leverage insights from the Employee Experience Survey and other tools to enhance the employee experience, in alignment with overall business strategy. Ensure supervisors have tools and resources to take action with their teams, while facilitating the development and communication of the company-level plan.
  • Strategic Talent Optimization: Utilize insights from engagement and culture initiatives to inform talent strategies that enhance employee performance and career mobility within the organization. Employ advanced analytics and predictive modeling to inform these strategies.
  • Collaborative Stakeholder Engagement: Work closely with HR, senior leadership, and line managers to ensure that engagement, and organizational culture strategies are embedded within every business unit and function, enhancing collaboration and business agility.  
  • Metrics and Accountability: Define and track key metrics that measure the effectiveness of integrated strategies in driving recruitment, engagement, development, mobility and retention of our workforce. Provide transparent reporting to the executive team and board on progress and ROI of initiatives, which includes benchmarking against industry standards and best practices.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 12 years of leadership experience preferably in HR, with a strong focus on employee engagement and building and strengthening organizational culture as a strategic differentiator.
  • Advanced degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Organizational Development/Effectiveness, or a related field; or equivalent professional experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with the latest organizational culture and engagement research and trends is required to ensure our strategies remain cutting-edge.
  • Demonstrated capability in developing and leading integrated HR strategies that align with business objectives and result in measurable improvements in talent outcomes.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and influence skills, capable of driving change and fostering a collaborative, inclusive work environment.
  • Strong analytical mindset, with experience in leveraging data to inform HR strategies and decisions.
