Kiva is a nonprofit that’s been expanding access to capital through crowdfunded loans for nearly 20 years. Our brand is trusted and loved by a global community of people who’ve helped millions of borrowers start businesses, go to school, and improve their lives.
Now we’re entering a new chapter. We're reinventing our platform, launching new products, and refreshing how we connect with the world. Our B2B partnerships with leading companies and foundations are growing quickly. At the same time, we’re reimagining the consumer experience so that many more people can discover the joy and impact of funding a loan on Kiva.
We’re looking for a Vice President of Marketing to play a critical role in this transformation. This role reports directly to the CEO and will work closely with leaders across product, partnerships, and philanthropy to shape how Kiva grows from here. This is a rare opportunity to help reimagine a beloved, global brand and bring it to even greater scale, grounded in a mission that truly matters. At Kiva, growth isn’t just a goal—it’s a moral imperative. The scale of the problems we choose to solve demands it.
What You’ll Do- Lead marketing across Kiva. Own strategy and execution across brand, growth, product marketing, and communications.
- Bring new products to life. Partner with product and design to shape go-to-market plans that drive engagement and adoption.
- Fuel B2B growth. Work with our partnerships team to reach and retain corporate and philanthropic partners.
- Expand our supporter base. Lead campaigns and storytelling efforts that inspire more people to fund loans.
- Refresh the brand. Evolve Kiva’s visual and verbal identity to reflect both our history and our bold future.
- Build and lead the team. Grow a strong, mission-aligned marketing team that works collaboratively and moves fast.
- Have 10+ years of marketing experience, including senior leadership roles in high-growth or mission-driven organizations.
- Are fluent in product marketing—skilled at bringing new ideas to market and driving adoption.
- Think in stories and systems—able to craft compelling narratives and scale them through performance and content channels.
- Collaborate deeply and lead without ego. You value clarity, trust, and shared goals.
- Are a hands-on operator. You follow through, take ownership, and care about delivering real outcomes.
- Want your work to matter, and believe great marketing can unlock real-world change.

- Friendly, supportive, and adventurous environment with a team of engaged colleagues
- A comprehensive, industry-leading benefits package including health, dental, and vision insurance, parental leave, professional development, 401k matching, and unlimited PTO. Some of these benefits have eligibility requirements. Many of these benefits are subsidized or fully paid for by Kiva.
- Opportunities to connect with and learn from colleagues and partners around the world
- Salary range: $190K - $242K; a final offer will be dependent upon a candidate’s location, skills and experience.
