Watts Water Technologies is seeking a highly dynamic, visionary and action-oriented leader to join us as Vice President of Marketing. This role is responsible for driving transformative marketing strategies, achieving desired outcomes and fostering cross-functional collaboration and alignment across diverse teams. Additionally, this role is responsible for leading, managing and achieving the primary marketing and business development goals of the company, driving product revenue growth, profit and other marketing and product management objectives. This individual will set the strategic direction and tactical execution for all marketing functions, building a brand strategy away from equipment seller and toward total solutions provider. The Vice President of Marketing must demonstrate the drive and creativity to dominate current markets, capture new markets and passionately protect our position as industry leader.

PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES

  • As a member of the Americas Leadership team, the Vice President of Marketing is responsible for setting and executing to the vision, strategy and tactical focus for marketing, including the launching of our Digital platform and SaaS platforms.

  • Define and champion an innovative marketing vision and roadmap, execute an integrated marketing strategy, and help grow market share.

  • Drives brand development, marketing and digital go to market, with an emphasis on revenue and EBITDA management.

  • Responsible for ensuring effective market segment marketing, publicity, and marketing communications, as well as effective and uniform promotion design and branding.

  • Provide vision, leadership and department direction which is both directly executed and delegated to further attainment of company strategic goals and objectives.

  • Live the Employee Value Proposition, articulating the features, attributes, benefits and opportunities; help to internally market the EVP across Watts.

  • Oversees development and execution of all product and solution marketing programs including advertising, competitive analysis and promotion.

  • Design and deliver high-impact digital marketing campaigns informed by market analysis, customer feedback and business priorities.

  • Act as a change agent, driving efforts in the industry and SaaS competitive landscape, ensuring Watts product offerings as solution of choice for global customers.

  • Ensures ownership of marketing results and takes corrective action to guarantee achievement of marketing objectives within designated budgets.

  • Monitors and maintains thorough understanding of external environment by continuous interaction with our Manufacturing Representative and Distribution network.

  •  Translate company strategy into data-driven, action-oriented plans that result in organic and inorganic growth for the company.

  • Collaborate effectively with all levels of the organization, identifying continuous improvement opportunities and refined people strategies throughout the organization.

  • Develop and implement the company’s New Product Development process, identifies resource needs, and works with development and other management teams in determining schedule of product releases

  • Drives the Americas strategic plan across all businesses, including segmentation and 80/20 and where to play.

  • Establishes and maintains an effective system of communications throughout the organization.

  • Inspires a high-performing team, developing and mentoring direct reports to exceed individual, department and corporate goals.

  • Demonstrates executive management leadership for their own department and as a model for the entire organization both inside and outside of the company.

MANAGEMENT:

  • Direct supervision of the Marketing Communications, Digital Marketing, and Global training teams

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, product management, or related field required. 

  • Graduate degree in business (MBA) preferred.

  • 15+ years marketing and product management experience.

  • Minimum of 5 years as the senior decision maker with increasing levels of budgetary and operational management responsibilities.

  • Prior experience leading and developing subordinate staff into future successors.

  • Related industrial experience; plumbing, HVAC, Flow Control and prior experience with SaaS and solutions selling a plus.

  • Demonstrated ability to drive financial results in a high-growth, global organization

  • Proven track record of optimizing lead funnels and driving demand, while simultaneously leading brand perception and market positioning.

  • Strong leadership, branding, analytical ability. 

  • Experience managing multiple channels (wholesale, representatives, OEM’s and direct)

  • Excellent interpersonal, communications and presentation skills and ability to translate complex data sets into an informed strategy.

  • Ability to perform on a strategic and tactical level

  • Well-developed organizational skills with ability to manage multiple priorities

  • Must excel in a team environment and embrace change

  • Ability to travel – up to 20%
