What We Need: 

Synapse Health is seeking a motivated and hands-on Vice President, Marketing Communications that will partner closely with our executive team, be responsible for all organizational 'storytelling', and will act as a true evangelist about our mission to provide value-based care in the Durable Medical Equipment space. Working with a dedicated team, you will develop integrated communication campaigns and the overarching company storyline for both internal & external channels. 
 
This is an exciting opportunity to showcase Synapse Health’s strategic direction and leadership in the DME industry. As Synapse Health continues to grow, we see this as a key hire to ensure that our messaging across all mediums is consistent, fit for purpose and ultimately supports our organization’s ongoing growth and performance. 

What You Will Do:  

  • Develop a compelling and comprehensive strategy that up-levels our messaging and resonates strongly with external and internal stakeholders. 
  • Own the marcomm strategy through the design, monitoring and effectiveness of the web site and intranet, in collaboration with information technology and functional leaders. Effectively utilize social media to engage internal and external stakeholders. 
  • Collaborate with executive and clinical leadership teams to develop strategic communications for organizational initiatives as well as thought leadership content aligned with strategic priorities.  
  • Serve as editor in chief for internal messaging, responsible for delivering high quality content distributed in ways that value our employees’ time and attention. 
  • Develop compelling and integrated internal and external strategic communication plans to elevate, showcase and enhance pride and understanding of our mission, values, strategies and growth trajectory. 
  • Serve as a Synapse Health spokesperson including during crisis communications.  
  • Create and refine key collateral to support dissemination of messaging to patients, prescribers and suppliers. 
  • Develop comprehensive communication strategies, frameworks, calendars, creative initiatives and measurable outcomes that support the company’s mission, vision, values and strategic objectives 
  • Take a metrics-driven approach to all messaging and brand-related initiatives. Set clear KPIs at the outset, track progress against those KPIs, adjust strategies as needed based on what’s working and what's not working, and regularly report results to the executive team. 

What You Have:  

At Synapse Health we’ve intentionally built a culture of kindness, collaboration and creativity, and we consider those qualities to be table stakes for any new team member. Additional requirements include: 

  • Minimum of 12 years of experience in corporate communications, with at least 5 years in a leadership role. 
  • A natural storyteller with excellent writing skills. 
  • Experience planning and deployment marcomm strategies - working with leaders on strategy, content development, project management and employee engagement. 
  • Strong writing and storytelling capability with a passion for breaking down very complex topics into consumable, understandable and applicable content. 
  • Curious learner who quickly develops an understanding of a wide range of subjects,and understands and applies feedback. 
  • Creative thinker who can develop and execute new, effective ways of communicating. 
  • Growth minded and willing to adjust ways of working and communication approaches based on current business needs and results. 
  • Ability to measure and analyze data to drive decision making and channel optimization.
