Company Description

Operating within the newly established umdasch Industrial Solutions division — AT-PAC is a global leader in scaffolding solutions. Specializing in the industrial market segment, our focus is on serving all scaffold contractors and industrial service companies across a variety of sectors.

AT-PAC is seeking a strategic and commercially driven Vice President of Global Business Development to lead our next phase of growth. Reporting directly to the CEO of AT-PAC, this pivotal role will drive global commercial performance, oversee developing markets, and support the strategic integration of future acquisitions. The VP will focus on expanding branch-based scaffolding sales and rentals, with a strong emphasis on high-growth regions such as Latin America, Asia, and the Middle East - where AT-PAC is making major capital investments in fleet and infrastructure. While core regions will continue reporting to the CEO of AT-PAC, this role will have functional oversight across all markets, helping to define and scale commercial best practices globally.

This is a hands-on leadership role ideal for a results-oriented, international executive who thrives in fast-paced, asset-intensive environments.

Job Description

Sales Strategy & Execution

  • Translate the sales strategy defined by the Executive Board and CEO AT-PAC into actionable plans for each operating region.
  • Support regional Managing Directors (MDs) and Regional Directors (RDs) in executing local targets while ensuring alignment with global growth priorities.
  • Identify and develop new market opportunities — geographic, sectoral, or customer segment-based — in collaboration with the CEO and regional leaders.
  • Ensure achievement of revenue and margin targets across operating companies and future acquisitions.
  • Standardize and drive execution of pricing strategies in collaboration with regional leads, finance, and product teams.

Customer Relationship & Market Development

  • Build and maintain relationships with strategic customers and key accounts globally, especially across complex multi-country engagements.
  • Leverage customer insights and feedback to shape commercial strategies and cross-regional product positioning.
  • Establish and maintain competitive intelligence across regions to inform go-to-market and channel strategies.

Sales Operations & Processes

  • Harmonize global sales processes and pipeline management, driving consistency in CRM (e.g., Victory) and reporting across all regional operations.
  • Work closely with divisional and regional controlling & finance teams to develop accurate forecasting, budget oversight, and performance analytics.
  • Introduce scalable best practices in sales operations, including opportunity qualification, bid/tender/proposal processes, and performance tracking.

Team Leadership & Development

  • Coach, coordinate, and support a matrixed network of regional sales leaders to drive high performance and collaboration.
  • Design and implement sales enablement programs, incentive structures, and talent development initiatives in coordination with HR and the CEO.
  • Serve as a cultural ambassador for performance-driven, customer-focused sales practices across regions.

Cross-functional Collaboration

  • Act as a key interface between regional organizations and centralized UIS functions (Product, Engineering, Application Engineering, Supply Chain).
  • Partner with the Marketing, HR, and Controlling & Finance functions to ensure alignment with divisional priorities and group-level initiatives.
  • Support the CEO  in strategic planning, integration of future acquisitions, and the coordination of applicable shared services as the division expands.

Qualifications

  • 10+ years of senior leadership experience in international B2B sales, preferably in industrial, construction, or infrastructure-related equipment, products and services sectors.
  • Demonstrated success managing multi-country commercial teams in a matrixed environment.
  • Strong strategic mindset paired with operational discipline and the ability to execute hands-on when needed.
  • Proven ability to influence across cultures and lead through complexity and change.
  • Expertise in CRM systems, sales analytics, and commercial performance management.
  • Fluent in English; additional languages are a plus.

Additional Information

We are open to locating this position at one of our AT-PAC or Umdasch Industrial Solutions sites, depending on the candidate’s location and role requirements.
