The ideal candidate is a dynamic finance leader who brings deep experience operating in a public company or IPO environment, excels at partnering across the business — including Sales, Marketing, Product, People, and Revenue Operations — and is energized by the possibilities that AI can unlock in modern finance teams. This leader will drive financial strategy and discipline while helping build a scalable, insight-driven, and future-ready finance function.
What You'll Be Doing
Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A)
- Lead company-wide planning, forecasting, and performance tracking, ensuring visibility into key business and financial drivers.
- Design and maintain forward-looking financial and headcount models, scenario planning tools, and dashboards.
- Drive continuous improvements in planning accuracy, financial insights, and strategic decision-making.
Business Partnership
- Act as a trusted partner to the executive team and departmental leaders.
- Translate business strategy into actionable financial plans, resource allocations, and operational KPIs.
- Drive alignment between business performance and financial outcomes to support growth and efficiency.
Deal Desk
- Lead the deal desk function, guiding pricing, commercial terms, and contract structuring in close collaboration with Sales and Legal.
- Establish governance frameworks to ensure deal quality, financial integrity, and velocity.
- Build and refine approval workflows, guardrails, and playbooks to scale the deal desk effectively.
Investor Relations
- Partner with the CFO on all investor-facing activities, including quarterly earnings, roadshows, board communications, and financial disclosures.
- Deliver financial storytelling and market guidance that reflects strategic priorities and long-term value creation.
- Must have public company or IPO experience, with a proven track record supporting or leading investor
engagement and communicating financial guidance to the Street.
Finance Leadership & Strategy
- Build and lead a high-performing finance team with deep expertise in FP&A, business operations, and analytics.
- Promote a culture of accountability, transparency, and cross-functional alignment.
- Champion data literacy and financial enablement across the company.
- Play a pivotal role in IPO readiness including S-1 prep, KPI reporting standardization, and interfacing with external auditors, bankers, and legal teams.
AI & Innovation
- Embrace a tech-first approach by leveraging emerging tools, particularly AI/ML-powered technologies, to enhance finance processes, improve forecasting accuracy, and support data-driven decision-making.
- Foster a culture of experimentation and adoption of AI within the team to improve productivity, automation, and insight generation.
- Stay ahead of finance innovation trends and incorporate them into team workflows and planning infrastructure.
What You’ll Bring
- 15+ years of progressive finance leadership experience, with significant exposure to FP&A, business partnership, and investor relations.
- Experience operating in a public company or leading IPO preparation and execution is required.
- Demonstrated comfort with SEC regulations, earnings call participation, and delivering financial forecasts
- Deep understanding of SaaS business models, key metrics (e.g., NRR, CAC payback), and growth-stage scaling.
- Track record of partnering with executive leadership across functions, including Sales, Marketing, Product, People, and Revenue Ops.
- Technically strong in financial modeling, scenario planning, and dashboard creation; fluency with modern tools like Adaptive/Planful, NetSuite, and BI platforms.
- Demonstrated interest in AI/automation, with experience identifying and deploying modern finance technologies.
- Outstanding communication and storytelling skills — comfortable presenting to board members, investors, and the broader executive team.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or related field required; MBA or CFA preferred.
