PAY RANGE
The Target Pay Range for this position is $242,000 - $328,000 annually. At BECU, compensation decisions are determined using factors such as relevant job-related skills, experience, and education or training. Should an offer for employment be made, we will consider individual qualifications. In addition to your salary, compensation incentives are available for the hired applicant. Incentives are performance based and targets vary by role.BENEFITS

Newly hired employees accrue 6.16 hours of paid time off (PTO) on a per pay period basis based on hours worked (up to a maximum of 160 PTO hours per year) and receive ten paid holidays throughout the calendar year. IMPACT YOU'LL MAKE:
The Vice President, Enterprise Cybersecurity Solutions will direct, plan, design, test, implement and maintain BECU’s computer, network, and digital security infrastructures and portfolio. Reporting to the SVP, Chief Information Security officer, you will lead a team of expert defenders, and safeguard millions of members' data – all while shaping the technology landscape to keep us ahead of evolving threats. Your work will ensure financial security, peace of mind, and trust for our members, making BECU a leader in protecting sensitive information.
WHAT YOU'LL DO:
- Become a master strategist: Collaborate with leadership across BECU to seamlessly integrate cybersecurity into every business and technology move. Cultivate strong relationships with senior stakeholders, understanding their goals and challenges to forge an overarching defense strategy.
- Architect the fortresses: Design and codify powerful security frameworks, setting the standards for how we protect our infrastructure. Drive adoption across teams, leveraging advanced technologies and frameworks to stay ahead of regulations and threats.
- Lead the A-Team: Empower a team of brilliant cybersecurity minds (architects, engineers, managers) to implement, maintain, and constantly improve our security. Together, you'll devise effective solutions, respond to threats, and keep BECU safe.
- Be the quarterback of security technology: Lead the development of RFIs/RFPs for cybersecurity solutions, overseeing vendors and managed service providers to ensure they align with our vision. Guide Cybersecurity and Tech projects with strategic risk assessments and technical control recommendations.
- Keep everyone informed: Regularly report on cybersecurity program performance to the CISO, Board, Enterprise Risk teams and senior leaders across the organization. Be the voice of security, raising awareness and building trust throughout BECU.
- Sharpen the tools, sharpen the minds: Evaluate emerging technologies and their impact on our security strategy. Coach and mentor your team, helping them understand their roles and how they contribute to BECU's cybersecurity mission.
- Go beyond the walls: Oversee information security for employees, service providers, and members. Develop training programs that upskill staff, fostering professionalism and building trust.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum:
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, computer science, or related field.
- Typically, 10+ years of combined Cybersecurity Architecture and Engineering leadership experience.
- Typically, 7+ years of leading Cybersecurity professionals in a dynamic environment.
- This job is remote but requires you to reside in one of the following states: Washington, Oregon, Idaho, Arizona, Texas, Georgia, South Carolina.
Desired:
- Knowledge of relevant legal/regulatory requirements (SOX, HIPAA, PCI/DSS).
- Knowledge of common security frameworks (ISO/IEC 27001, ITIL, COBIT, NIST).
- Knowledge of key security technologies like Microsoft Defender, Sentinel, Intune as well as Microsoft Azure, Amazon Web Services (AWS) and Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI).
- Command of leading security solutions like enterprise firewalls, intrusion detection, web-application firewalls, data loss prevention and Security Incident and Event Management
- Understanding of building, securing, and running Development, Security and Operations (DevSecOps) pipelines
- Excellent verbal/written communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong leadership, planning, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
- Master's degree in cybersecurity or related field.
- Professional security management certification (CISSP, ISSAP/ISSEP, SABSA).
