Location Details: United States Remote

At GoDaddy the future of work looks different for each team. Some teams work in the office full-time, others have a hybrid arrangement (they work remotely some days and in the office some days) and some work entirely remotely.

This position may be a hybrid or fully remote position, as decided by your manager. If designated as hybrid, you’ll divide your time between working remotely from your home and an office location, so you should live within commuting distance. If designated as remote, you’ll be working remotely from your home and may occasionally visit a GoDaddy office to meet with your team for events or meetings. This position is not eligible to be performed in Alaska, Mississippi, North Dakota, or the Virgin Islands.

GoDaddy powers the world's largest platform dedicated to Web Designers and Developers (WDD) who provide marketing services—including website building and maintenance—to their clients. GoDaddy is seeking a visionary Vice President of Engineering to lead our engineering teams for WordPress, Hosting and Security solutions across some of the most recognized brands in the space: GoDaddy, Pagely, ManageWP, and Sucuri. Reporting directly to our Product and AI CTO, a cornerstone of our Engineering Leadership Team — setting strategy, inspiring teams, and delivering extraordinary products at scale.

Working with our product management team to deliver products and platforms which accelerate delivery while encouraging an environment for a test and learn culture. Fusing forces and collaborating across collaborators, including senior engineering leadership, product management, marketing, site reliability engineering and data center to align and deliver on company goals.

What you'll get to do...

  • Drive engineering vision and strategy across WordPress, Hosting, Security, and Reseller businesses — owning the roadmap, architecture, and execution plans end to end
  • Partner with Product and GTM leaders to manage trade-offs, align technology roadmaps, and ensure a flawless customer experience across all adjacent products
  • Build a culture of experimentation; leading testing efficiency, velocity, and experimentation initiatives across engineering, UX, and site marketing to move every key critical metric
  • Develop and lead a product quality scorecard; tracking performance, availability, and quality with regular executive-level reporting
  • Lead and scale a 150+ person, multi-site engineering organization; encouraging engagement, career growth, and high performance through strong leadership and structured review cycles
  • Build company strategy, contributing to 1 and 3-year corporate and divisional planning, and building platforms, APIs, and tools that power the entire organization

Your experience should include...

  • 15+ years in Engineering Leadership and Management in a global SaaS, internet, or software product organization, with a track record of growing responsibility and organizational impact
  • Deep expertise in WordPress, Hosting, or Security; you understand the nuances of the WordPress ecosystem and can speak the language of developers and platform engineers alike
  • A data-inspired leadership style; you leverage data science, ML, and hypothesis-driven validation to set direction and measure what matters
  • Proven track record to lead at scale; you've successfully driven large, multi-functional initiatives requiring shared consensus across sophisticated, matrixed organizations
  • Strong technical depth; including modern platform architectures, public cloud environments (AWS/GCP), multi-region applications, and complex product portfolio management

You might also have...

  • A Bachelor's/Master’s degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field

The estimated pay ranges for this role are listed below. In addition to base pay, this role may be eligible for other forms of compensation, which may include a corporate bonus and/or equity awards, subject to the terms of applicable plans and individual eligibility.
