This role offers the opportunity to work on complex tax projects, enhance compliance systems, and contribute to the financial success of our organization.
Job Responsibilities:
- Tax projects:
- Define and advise the requirements of the consumption taxes CBS and IBS, engaging on the discussions about the topic.
- Participate on the project related to the implementation of the Pillar 2 requirements for Brazil.
- Prepare and make presentations of the requirements of the new projects.
- Engage on other projects related to tax.
- System and Process Improvement:
- Testing and Implementation of new systems to cover the new requirements and support other tax compliance needs as required.
- Drive process improvements and efficiencies in tax-related functions.
- Tax Calculation and Compliance:
- Prepare and Oversee the calculation and compliance processes for Income Tax, Social Contribution, PIS, COFINS, and São Paulo ISS for financial and non-financial companies.
- Calculate and monitor deferred tax according to Brazilian Central Bank's rules.
- Prepare and oversee the preparation of ISS, Income tax and PIS and COFINS returns.
- Prepare and oversee the calculation, preparation of returns and compliance processes of Pillar 2, CBS and IBS.
- Tax Payments and Control:
- Double-check tax payments numbers, ensuring values accuracy and process compliance processes.
- Accounting and Reconciliation:
- Prepare and oversee the accounting and reconciliation of tax provisions, anticipations, and withholdings.
- Participate in the proprietary taxes month-end closing process for the group's companies.
- U.S. Tax Reporting:
- Prepare the US GAAP tax reporting.
- Financial Management:
- Manage invoices payment requests.
- Prepare and make presentations of the tax numbers.
- Support on other tax compliance issues when required.
Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Technology, Law, or Business.
- Specialization in Tax.
- 7+ years of tax experience in a similar professional role.
- Fluent in English and Portuguese.
- Knowledge of Brazilian and US GAAP tax accounting.
- Advanced Excel skills.
- Good communication, organization, and teamwork.
Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills:
- Familiarity with Easyway's systems.
- SAP accounting knowledge.
- Project management experience.
- Knowledge of Alteryx and UI Path.
