The Vice President, Client Success – National Market is a member of the Client Success leadership team in the Progyny organization This role has responsibility fora team of client success managers that oversee relationships with national market employer clients and is responsible for delivering on client retention goals, driving revenue from upsells with existing national market clients and managing key performance indicators to ensure team goals are achieved.    

This position requires 30–40% travel and is open to candidates located near any major U.S. airport.  

 

What you’ll do… 
  • Be responsible for leading and managing a large market Client Success team ensuring KPIs are met with a focus on client retention and pipeline management for upsells    

  • Act as an Executive Sponsor to support retention goals and drive client engagement and advocacy   

  • Represent company at client meetings and events to promote the company’s brand, building relationships with clients and consultants 

  • Have an ability to seamlessly articulate Progyny’s value to professionals, executives, strategic partners at both employers and channel partners; understand and articulate a data-driven financial model to support renewals, refine our quarterly and annual reports to best meet client needs   

  • Help resolve member abrasions that are escalated to the Client Success Team, working closely with other senior leaders to identify the root of the escalation and the best path to resolve   

  • Implement improvements to account management business processes to ensure success with growth and scale   

  • Manage a staffing model and compensation approach to scale the team accordingly   

  • Identify professional development and training opportunities to grow and upskill direct reports   

  • Travel: Travel 30–40% to meet with clients and stakeholders, ensuring alignment and satisfaction.  

About you 
  • Extensive Experience: 12+ years of strategic and consultative selling experience within healthcare, employer benefits, or insurance industries.  

  • Led, coached, and supported a team to achieve individual and organizational goals while fostering a collaborative, high-performance culture.

  • Client Management Expertise: Proven success managing large, complex employer relationships, with a focus on strategic retention and growth.  

  • Executive Collaboration: Demonstrated ability to work with and manage expectations of internal executive teams, ensuring alignment and actionable outcomes.  

  • Negotiation and Influence: Strong skills in negotiation, collaboration, and relationship management, with the ability to influence key stakeholders effectively.  

  • Communication Excellence: Expertise in presenting complex information and insights in ways that resonate with diverse audiences.  

  • Analytical Acumen: Strong financial and problem-solving skills to drive data-backed decisions and client ROI.  

  • Project Management: Proven ability to define goals, create action plans, and deliver results in a dynamic environment.  

  • Adaptability: Thrives under pressure, can prioritize competing demands, and excels in a fast-growing organization.  

  • Geographic Flexibility: Located near a major U.S. airport, with the ability to travel frequently for client interactions.

In compliance with New York City's Wage Transparency Law, the annual salary [wage] range for NYC-based applicants is: $185,000 - $195,000. There are a variety of factors that go into determining a salary range, including but not limited to external market benchmark data, geographic location, and years of experience sought/required. Progyny offers a total compensation package comprised of base salary, cash bonus, and equity.
