We collaborate closely with clients to deliver enterprise-class web and mobile applications that solve real-world business challenges. More than just implementers, we act as strategic partners—blending technical depth with design thinking to deliver lasting impact.

About the Role

We’re looking for a UX/UI Designer who brings a strong eye for clean design, deep empathy for end-users, and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, remote-first environment. If you're passionate about crafting intuitive, elegant user experiences and love solving complex design problems through simplicity, this role is for you.

This position is remote, but open only to U.S.-based candidates authorized to work in the U.S.

What You'll Do

  • Design user interfaces and experiences for responsive web and mobile applications

  • Collaborate with clients, developers, and project managers to shape functional, accessible, and visually consistent designs

  • Interpret brand guidelines and apply them effectively, or create new design standards as needed

  • Create wireframes, mockups, user flows, and interactive prototypes using tools like Figma

  • Iterate quickly based on feedback and changing requirements in a fast-moving environment

  • Contribute to design systems and maintain a strong focus on user-centered design principles

  • Communicate design intent clearly to internal teams and clients

What You Bring

  • 3+ years of professional experience in UX and UI design (required)

  • Strong portfolio with examples of consumer-facing digital experiences (required)

  • Mastery of tools like Figma (Marvel or InVision experience a plus)

  • Experience working with developers and project teams to translate designs into functional products

  • Familiarity with responsive design and CSS frameworks

  • Strong communication skills and customer-service orientation

  • U.S.-based and authorized to work without sponsorship

Nice to Have

  • Consulting experience or direct client interaction background

  • Experience working in agile or iterative environments

  • Familiarity with design accessibility best practices

  • Some front-end development knowledge (HTML/CSS)

Compensation Range: $80K - $120K

What you need to know about the Boston Tech Scene

Boston is a powerhouse for technology innovation thanks to world-class research universities like MIT and Harvard and a robust pipeline of venture capital investment. Host to the first telephone call and one of the first general-purpose computers ever put into use, Boston is now a hub for biotechnology, robotics and artificial intelligence — though it’s also home to several B2B software giants. So it’s no surprise that the city consistently ranks among the greatest startup ecosystems in the world.

Key Facts About Boston Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 269,000; 9.4% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Thermo Fisher Scientific, Toast, Klaviyo, HubSpot, DraftKings
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, biotechnology, robotics, software, aerospace
  • Funding Landscape: $15.7 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Summit Partners, Volition Capital, Bain Capital Ventures, MassVentures, Highland Capital Partners
  • Research Centers and Universities: MIT, Harvard University, Boston College, Tufts University, Boston University, Northeastern University, Smithsonian Astrophysical Observatory, National Bureau of Economic Research, Broad Institute, Lowell Center for Space Science & Technology, National Emerging Infectious Diseases Laboratories
