UX Writer & Content Designer

Miami, FL

About Us:

MAJORITY is a groundbreaking mobile banking service built for migrants, by migrants. Global migration is a 21st-century reality, whether people are following their dreams, love, or new experiences. Our purpose at MAJORITY is to empower the ambitious, the brave, and the talented and help them achieve their dreams. We believe that everyone deserves the same opportunity to succeed. Our mission is to provide migrants the tools they need to thrive in their new country. We're a team of people without borders, from over 20 countries, driven by ambition and a shared passion for making a difference.

This role is based out of our Wynwood office in Miami, FL.

We're looking for a UX writer & Content Designer to join our Product Design team and architect the voice of financial access as we expand into new markets!

The Role:

We're looking for a strategic content leader who approaches UX writing holistically. As our UX Writer & Content Designer, you'll shape how our users around the world, and across languages, experience financial services. This role will have full ownership over our content strategy and voice. One of the most important aspects of this role will be to help design and refine our localization processes as we expand to reach new users across even more nationalities and languages!

As our UX Writer and Content Designer you'll think in systems built to scale: Every piece of copy you create will work across multiple languages and markets. You'll build scalable content processes, optimize our translation workflows, and establish the frameworks that ensure consistency as we grow. You'll bridge the gap between complex financial concepts and clear, trustworthy user experiences.

You’ll dive into user research, understand the immigrant financial journey, and create copy that solves real problems. You'll use AI as a tool to scale your work while maintaining the human connection our users need.

What You’ll Own:

Define our content strategy: Shape MAJORITY's voice and content standards across all product touchpoints. Create the frameworks and style guides that ensure our messaging is consistent, clear, and culturally relevant as we scale.

Create essential in-app copy: Own the user-facing content that guides our users through critical financial moments, onboarding flows, transaction messages, error states, and feature explanations. Your work will turn complex financial processes into clear, confidence-building experiences.

Optimize our localization process: Take our current Crowdin-to-Figma workflow and build it into an efficient, scalable system. Manage translations across LATAM markets while leveraging AI to improve quality and speed without losing cultural nuance.

Drive cross-team content decisions: Collaborate with Product, Design, Engineering, and Marketing to ensure content strategy influences product direction. You'll be the advocate who ensures user needs shape how we build features.

Champion our user community: Conduct content-focused user research and testing to ensure our language resonates with the LATAM diaspora. Translate insights about the immigrant financial experience into copy that builds trust and drives action.

What You Bring:

  • Minimum of 2-3 years of proven UX writing experience with a portfolio that demonstrates your ability to simplify complexity, ideally working with consumer mobile apps that handle sensitive user needs.
  • Scalable content strategy experience: You've built content style guides, frameworks, and scalable processes. You approach content strategically, using systems thinking, beyond individual projects.
  • Startup adaptability: you thrive in fast-moving environments where you'll wear multiple hats, own open-ended problems, and build solutions from scratch.
  • Cross-functional collaboration: You've successfully worked with Product, Engineering, and Marketing teams to ship content that drives real business outcomes.
  • Localization experience: You've had some degree of experience with localization or internationalization. Ideally having managed LMS platforms (Crowdin, Phrase, or similar) with experience improving translation workflows.

Highly Preferred

  • Financial systems knowledge: You understand the US banking landscape and can translate regulatory complexity into human language. Fintech experience is highly valuable.
  • Native-level Spanish fluency
  • Cultural understanding: You have an understanding of the LATAM diaspora experience and can write authentically for people navigating life between two worlds.

Ready to shape the future of finance?

If our mission resonates with you, we want to see your strategic thinking in action!

Apply on our careers page by sharing your resume and a link to your portfolio or website.

We believe in equal opportunity and value diversity at our company. We do not discriminate on the basis of race, religion, color, national origin, gender, sexual orientation, age, marital status, veteran status, or disability status.

  • Funding Landscape: $15.7 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
