Hammerspace obliterates data access delays for AI and high-performance computing. Its Data Platform delivers a high-throughput, low-latency parallel global file system unifying data from edge to core to multi-cloud, accessible via pNFS, NFSv3, SMB and S3 standards. Instant, agentless deployment with native Linux support combined with migration-free data assimilation radically accelerates pipelines. This approach keeps GPUs saturated, speeds time-to-insight, and boosts researcher and developer productivity.

We are seeking an experienced UX Designer to shape user experiences across our enterprise software suite. In this role, you will design intuitive, accessible, and scalable user interfaces for complex, data-rich applications used by a diverse range of enterprise users. You will play a key role in translating user needs and business requirements into effective design strategies while ensuring compliance with accessibility standards.

You will be responsible for conceiving and creating designs that align with both user and business goals, and for refining, maintaining, and enforcing current design guidelines and strategies. The ideal candidate is comfortable adapting to changing priorities throughout the product lifecycle.

Job Responsibilities:

• Lead the UX design of product features from concept to delivery—producing wireframes, mockups, prototypes, and detailed design specifications.

• Translate technical and business requirements into intuitive user experiences that support complex workflows, data visualizations, and role-based interfaces.

• Collaborate with product managers, engineers, and stakeholders to define user problems, propose design solutions, and iterate based on feedback.

• Conduct user research, usability testing, and heuristic evaluations to validate design decisions and improve overall user workflows.

• Design interfaces that comply with Section 508 and WCAG accessibility standards, ensuring usability for individuals with disabilities.

• Champion user-centered design principles across the organization and ensure accessibility and usability remain central to our product strategy.

Job Requirements:

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), Cognitive Science, or a related field.

• 5+ years of UX design experience, including at least 3 years working on enterprise or storage software platforms.

• Strong portfolio demonstrating UX work for complex applications, with a focus on usability, information architecture, and accessibility.

• Proficiency with modern design and prototyping tools such as Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD, or Axure.

• Familiarity with frontend development fundamentals (HTML, CSS, ARIA roles) to ensure design feasibility and accessibility.

• Proven ability to plan and execute user research, usability testing, and stakeholder interviews. Preferred Skills:

• Experience in the storage software domain.

• Experience designing dashboards, administrative interfaces, reporting tools, or permission based UIs.

• Hands-on experience designing for Section 508 and WCAG 2.1 standards, including the use of accessibility evaluation tools such as axe, WAVE, or Lighthouse.
