About the role:

At Goodnotes, we're on a mission to create the best medium for human and AI collaboration. You will join a talented, distributed Growth Marketing team across Europe and Asia, looking after ASO, Performance Marketing, and CRM. You will work alongside other marketers, designers, and the wider Goodnotes team to acquire new users.

As our User Acquisition Manager, you will own the execution of our paid acquisition program across global markets — managing campaigns, measurement infrastructure, and experimentation. This role sits within a structured capital allocation framework - you’re expected to understand and contribute to market-level unit economics (payback windows, LTV/CAC, ROAS by market) that determines where we invest, not just how individual campaigns perform. You’ll work closely with Data Science, Product, and the broader Marketing team.

This role will initially be offered as a 1 year fixed-term contract

This is the role for you, if you’re excited to work on the things listed below:

  • Plan, launch, and optimize paid campaigns across Google Ads, Apple Ads, Meta Ads, and other platforms — driving efficient user growth across global markets
  • Own market-level unit economics reporting — tracking 1Y ROAS, payback period, and LTV/CAC — and translate insights into concrete optimization decisions
  • Manage our MMP setup (Appsflyer or equivalent) and partner with Data Science on attribution models, including SKAdNetwork and multi-touch attribution
  • Design and run incrementality measurement via geo holdout tests with Data Science
  • Manage budgets within defined guardrails, reallocating capital across markets based on performance thresholds and pausing investment where markets fall below hurdle rates
  • Drive a structured experimentation pipeline across ad platforms, from hypothesis through to verdict and next action

The skills you will need to be successful in the above:

  • 4+ years of hands-on experience in user acquisition, with proven success scaling paid programs across global markets
  • Hands-on expertise in Google Ads, Apple Ads, Meta Ads and other platforms (eg. TikTok, Snapchat)
  • SaaS or app-based experience is a plus but not required
  • Strong analytical skills, including experience working with attribution models, MMP platforms (Appsflyer preferred), and incrementality measurement
  • Experience operating within a capital allocation framework — understanding market-level unit economics, not just campaign-level KPIs
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to translate data into decisions for cross-functional stakeholders

Interview process:

  • An introductory call with someone from our talent acquisition team. They want to hear more about your background, what you are looking for, and why you’d like to join Goodnotes
  • Role-specific interview to discuss your skillset further in detail and to complete a live assessment
  • Hiring Manager interview: A call with your hiring manager — the person you'll work with day to day. You'll discuss how the role operates, how they'll support your development, and what success looks like during this engagement.
  • Panel interview – A meet the team call with 2 or 3 GoodPeople you’d be working closely with at Goodnotes
What’s in it for you:
  • Customized Growth & Wellness Budgets: We provide dedicated stipends for the things that keep you at your best, including noise-canceling headphones for deep focus, professional training, personal development, and health and wellness activities.
  • Global Connectivity: While we embrace flexible work, we love seeing each other. We provide sponsored visits to our beautiful office locations to foster face-to-face collaboration.
  • Company-Wide Offsites: Once a year, we gather the entire global team in person to celebrate our wins, align on our vision, and build lasting connections.
  • Comprehensive Health Coverage: Your well-being is our priority. We offer premium medical insurance for you and your dependents to ensure peace of mind for your whole family.

Goodnotes is committed to fostering a diverse, inclusive, and equitable workplace. We welcome applications from individuals of all backgrounds, identities, and experiences, making all employment decisions based strictly on merit, qualifications, and business needs.

In compliance with the EU Pay Transparency Directive, details regarding the salary range for this position will be provided to you via email prior to your initial interview with our recruitment team.

Note: Employment is contingent upon successful completion of background checks, including verification of employment, education, and criminal records.

By submitting your application, you acknowledge that you have read and understood our Candidate Privacy Notice, which provides important information about the data we collect during the application process. You can find it here.

  • Funding Landscape: $15.7 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Summit Partners, Volition Capital, Bain Capital Ventures, MassVentures, Highland Capital Partners
  • Research Centers and Universities: MIT, Harvard University, Boston College, Tufts University, Boston University, Northeastern University, Smithsonian Astrophysical Observatory, National Bureau of Economic Research, Broad Institute, Lowell Center for Space Science & Technology, National Emerging Infectious Diseases Laboratories
