Compensation
At Atlassian, we strive to design equitable, explainable, and competitive compensation programs. To support this goal, the baseline of our range is higher than that of the typical market range, but in turn we expect to hire most candidates near this baseline. Base pay within the range is ultimately determined by a candidate's skills, expertise, or experience. In the United States, we have three geographic pay zones. For this role, our current base pay ranges for new hires in each zone are:
Zone A: $142,800 - $190,300
Zone B: $128,500 - $171,300
Zone C: $118,500 - $158,000
This role may also be eligible for benefits, bonuses, commissions, and equity.

In this role you will:
- Research, analyze and model US international tax planning strategies to optimize the company's global tax position
- Collaborate with other cross functional teams on international tax impacts of new initiatives, structure simplification and cash tax forecasting
- Assist in technical analysis of all US international tax positions, including but not limited to GILTI, FDII, BEAT, Subpart F, 987, FDII, and FTCs
- Facilitate integration projects for entities acquired through M&A
- Monitor and assess the impact of changes in US tax legislation
- Support the implementation and modeling of the US tax aspects of Pillar II
On your first day, we'll expect you to have:
- CPA and/or JD and Master of Taxation or other advanced degree required.
- Minimum 7 years working experience in a combination of Big 4 and corporate tax department with multinational operations
- Strong knowledge of US international tax laws and regulations
- Solid understanding of ASC 740, Accounting for Income Taxes
- Ownership mentality, intellectual curiosity, and an ability to thrive in a dynamic fast-paced environment.
- Advanced Excel and analytical skills including experience developing forecasting models and using tax forecasting tools.
