About the team and role

US Legal Team

The US Legal team at GBG supports the company’s identity and fraud solutions by providing strategic legal guidance, managing contracts, and ensuring regulatory compliance. Operating within a global legal framework, the team partners closely with commercial and product stakeholders to deliver practical, customer-focused legal support that enables business growth while mitigating risk.

The Role

We’re looking for a commercially astute Corporate Counsel to join our dynamic US Legal team, supporting the Identity and Fraud business across the region. As one of three attorneys in the Americas, you’ll play a pivotal role in driving revenue growth by partnering with Sales, Product, Privacy, and Infosec teams to negotiate high-impact contracts and provide strategic legal guidance on new products and markets. This role is ideal for a proactive legal professional who thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment and excels at translating legal risk into clear, actionable business advice. This is a hybrid position, with in-office collaboration encouraged to foster strong relationships with key stakeholders and cross-functional teams.

What you will do

  • Negotiate complex SaaS contracts with some of the world’s biggest, best-known brands.
  • Provide strategic legal advice on new product launches, market expansion, and customer segments.
  • Build strong partnerships with Go-To-Market and Product teams to support deal velocity and innovation.
  • Balance risk management with commercial pragmatism to onboard customers efficiently.
  • Develop a deep understanding of GBG’s products, data, and technology to inform contract strategy.
  • Collaborate with the US Privacy and Infosec teams, especially those based in Atlanta.
Requirements

Skills we are looking for

  • Proven success as an in-house attorney, ideally with 5+ years of commercial contracts experience.
  • Must be licensed to practice law in the US; Georgia preferred but not required.
  • Strong track record of negotiating complex, high-value agreements at pace.
  • Experience working cross-functionally with sales, product, technology, and finance teams.
  • Solid understanding of US state privacy regulations and data-related contract terms.
  • A skilled negotiator of high-value, complex SaaS contracts.
  • An excellent communicator who can translate legal risks into actionable business advice.
  • A collaborative business partner who builds strong stakeholder relationships across functions.
  • A mindset for innovation and continuous improvement, with a willingness to challenge the status quo.
  • Curiosity and drive to learn about GBG’s customers, products, and data ecosystem.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in digital identity, AML, financial services, or gaming regulations.
  • Background in identity verification or fraud prevention.
  • Familiarity with using AI to optimize legal processes.
