With a reach extending to 11.9 million plan participants, we simplify the complexities of benefits management, offering streamlined solutions that enhance our clients' operational efficiency and elevate the benefits experience. Our services encompass the administration of benefits and retirement programs on an outsourced or co-sourced basis for defined benefits, defined contribution, and health and welfare plans in the US and Canada.
The successful candidate will be an integral part of the TELUS Health team, overseeing the growth of our commercial Defined Benefits and QDRO practice. This role also works closely with leaders and teams across Account Management, Marketing, Communications, Product, Operations, Finance and others to ensure that campaigns and go-to-market strategy are successfully executed.
What You’ll Do
● Leading individual business development activities throughout the sales cycle with prospective and existing clients and strategic partners.
● Develop go-to-market strategy for our commercial Defined Benefits & QDRO practice.
● Leverage experience and market feedback to inform leadership on innovation, continuous improvement, and sales/marketing plan to help drive growth.
● Communicate professionally, crisply and confidently. Must be able to passionately articulate the TELUS Health business proposition and ROI model.
● Maintain responsibility for full sales cycle, from opportunity identification through to negotiation and close of sale.
● Winning new business directly through direct sales approaches, participating in RFPs, and extending existing account relationships into new geographies.
● Developing strong relationships with key contacts within prospect organizations and leading brokers/ benefits consultants.
● Continuously refining the business development strategy in line with the broader business development strategy.
● Support operations, product and solution architects in prospective client’s solution scope.
● Develop and manage a strong pipeline to ensure quota target coverage.
● Presenting at major industry conferences, client events and finalist presentation.
What You Bring
- 10+ years of experience in Defined Benefits Administration.
- Post-secondary degree in Business, Marketing or other customer focus academic curriculum.
- A proven track record of success in a complex, business-to-business sales environment consisting of multiple stakeholder groups and unique procurement processes.
- Deep industry knowledge and proven subject matter expertise in the Defined Benefits and human resource technology consulting sectors.
- Proven ability to navigate, thrive and deliver in a fast-growing business unit.
- The ability to work effectively within a matrixed and performance-based organization.
- Innovative and entrepreneurial approach with a growth mentality and a strong will to win.
- Strong presentation skills, proven consultative sales skills and the ability to manage the sales cycle effectively and autonomously from end-to-end.
- Strong overall business acumen, influencing, negotiation and strategic thought leadership skills.
- High degree of professionalism.
- Organizational savvy, intellect and professional maturity.
- Excellent time management skills, with the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced, client-driven global environment.
