What you'll do
- Represent Atlassian to Strategic & Enterprise customers, managing trust-related questions and concerns across customer acquisition, migration, and long-term retention.
- Engage in customer-facing initiatives, focusing on articulating Atlassian's commitment to Trust, including our Security practices, Compliance posture, Privacy measures, Resilience efforts, and Anti-Abuse program.
- Manage complex security reviews & audits, ensuring customer needs are met effectively.
- Support legal teams in negotiating security and compliance terms & exhibits for customer agreements.
- Be the Voice of the Customer, identifying blockers and friction points to influence Security, Product, and Engineering strategies.
- Develop and drive customer-facing Trust collateral, including materials, presentations, and white papers.
- Provide education and training to internal teams (Sales, Product Marketing, Legal) on security, compliance, and privacy topics.
- Mentor the team through technical leadership, fostering knowledge-sharing and growth.
Your background
- 7+ years of experience in Security, Governance, Risk, and Compliance, with direct customer-facing or consulting experience.
- Expertise in leading discussions on security and risk trade-offs with decision-makers, executives, or board members.
- Strong knowledge of security, compliance, and privacy frameworks (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA, SOC2, ISO27001, NIST 800-53, PCI-DSS, C5, DORA, NIS2).
- Proven experience in Cloud Security, Regulatory Compliance, Global Privacy Programs, or similar functions, particularly in large-scale enterprise SaaS platforms.
- Proficiency with cybersecurity principles, controls, and SaaS infrastructure, including cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and multi-tenant architectures.
- Ability to drive and manage customer audits and assessments, ensuring adherence to security policies and controls.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to create impactful presentations and effectively engage with customers, internal teams, and leadership.
- Exceptional problem-solving abilities and a proactive, solution-oriented mindset, with the capacity to adapt to changing market conditions and customer needs.
