The AVP Liquidity Operations Analyst III within the Corporate Treasury group is responsible for enhancing the Bank’s liquidity risk management framework to align with the regulatory standards of a large financial institution. The candidate should be a self-starter with a balanced background of analytical skill, communication skill and a teamwork mentality. The ability to interface with a wide variety of roles throughout the organization is important for success. This position reports to the Assistant Treasurer.
Manage relationships with the Bank’s funding providers including the Federal Reserve Bank, the FHLB, and other brokered/non-brokered funding providers. Manage collateral submissions and periodic audits.
Manage the Bank’s Liquidity Contingency Plan and ensure robust backup sources of funding under a variety of stress scenarios. Work with market risk management on Risk Control Self Assessments. Design solutions for liquidity management that are aligned with evolving regulatory requirements, audit and compliance scrutiny as well as industry best practices.
- Act as main liaison in Archer for all Treasury operation vendor onboarding management. Identifies the risks associated with the execution of Treasury’s funding business strategy by assessing and effectively understanding and managing all risks associated with the associated products, services, and activities.
- Assist with monthly accounting and payment processing for liquidity and swap products. Administer gathering and organizing reporting in collaboration with senior team members to review trends and reporting. Ongoing monitoring and submission of SOX testing.
PROBLEM SOLVING & DECISION MAKING:
This position operates with minimal oversight but the candidate should collaborate closely as needed and recognize issues that should be escalated. Critical and innovative thinking is encouraged.
Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree preferably in Finance, Economics, Accounting or related field.
- Master’s Degree or equivalent is preferred.
- 3-5+ years in a related role at a bank over $10B in total assets.
- Advanced Excel skills.
- Strong teamwork mentality with a high degree of flexibility and adaptability.
- Candidate will be a self-starter and highly motivated.
- Strong ability to communicate with stakeholders on the team and throughout the organization.
- Detailed understanding of industry liquidity practices and regulation.
- Ability to operate in a highly regulated environment.
