As part of our commitment to talent development, the Training Coordinator - DoW SkillBridge Trainee role is designed to provide a transitioning service member with hands-on, foundational experience in corporate Learning and Development. In this developmental role, you will train alongside our team to learn how a Training Coordinator drives organizational growth. You will shadow the day-to-day operations of our digital learning ecosystem, assist in coordinating cross-departmental training programs, and learn how to utilize data-driven insights to evaluate training outcomes. By the end of this program, you will have gained the skills to act as a "digital gardener" for a Learning Management System, preparing you for a successful civilian career in corporate training operations.

What you'll learn and do

LMS Administration & Stewardship 

  • Learn to develop and maintain the Schoox LMS architecture, including course creation, curriculum learning paths, and automated user assignments.
  • Shadow the process of identifying and sourcing relevant external content from providers such as OpenSesame and YouTube to curate a high-impact public library.
  • Gain experience providing LMS navigation support and basic technical troubleshooting for internal employees and managers under the guidance of your mentor.

Content & Media Development 

  • Gain hands-on experience generating multimedia training assets and graphics using Canva and Articulate to support learner populations.
  • Assist in developing and maintaining documentation for core business systems—including NetSuite, Jira, and Ready Connect—to serve as standardized job aids.
  • Learn to identify state-specific requirements for compliance training and observe how to develop "testing out" options to streamline certification processes.

Program Coordination & Logistics 

  • Support the coordination and communication of training logistics across departments to ensure the seamless execution of virtual sessions.
  • Collaborate alongside the team to market training opportunities, gather feedback, and identify areas of growth.
  • Assist with the integration of new hires by tracking required compliance modules and company policy training.

Analytics & Operational Support 

  • Learn to build and provide detailed status updates and performance reporting on compliance and participation rates tailored to executive leadership.
  • Shadow the documentation of internal training SOPs and observe the strategic design and maintenance of the company intranet.
  • Practice maintaining strict confidentiality of company and customer information while ensuring administrative accuracy in corporate tracking systems.

What you bring 

Technical Aptitude

  • Strong desire to learn LMS administration (using Schoox as a primary platform) to centralize learning and drive employee development.
  • Willingness to train on enterprise business systems, including NetSuite and BambooHR, to understand operational workflows.
  • Passion for developing scalable eLearning solutions and learning to use tools like Canva, Articulate, and Gemini AI.
  • Baseline proficiency in productivity suites (such as Google Workspace and Microsoft Office) with an eagerness to learn project management tools like Jira.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with a desire to interact with a variety of team members and stakeholders.

  • Commitment to accuracy when learning to maintain records and distribute compliance reporting.
  • Dedication to quality when assisting in the creation of training materials and documentation.
  • Highly organized mindset capable of supporting the coordination of training schedules to ensure minimal logistical errors.

Skills & Qualifications  

  • Demonstrates exceptional written and verbal communication skills, maintaining professional clarity during virtual collaboration.
  • Maintains a highly organized and detailed approach to tasks while remaining flexible enough to adapt to shifting priorities.
  • Operates with high digital fluency in a 100% remote environment, utilizing cloud-based collaboration tools.
  • Employs analytical thinking to proactively identify potential issues and navigate workflows with a commitment to accuracy.

Physical & Mental Qualifications:

  • All positions require the ability to work on a computer for at least eight (8) hours per day. This includes fine and gross manipulation (typing and utilizing the mouse), looking at a computer screen for extended periods of time, and visual acuity (reading from a computer screen). This also includes the ability to sit and stand for a combined period of at least eight (8) hours per day. 
  • All positions require minimum and infrequent lifting requirements (laptop). 
  • No positions require walking requirements apart from the travel and commute as stated in this section. 
  • All positions require the ability to talk on the phone. 
  • May require occasional travel. 
  • All positions require the ability to focus on numerous tasks and project requirements throughout and eight (8) hour workday. 
  • All positions require the ability to work, communicate, and collaborate with team members, peers, clients, vendors, and other entities with which the Company maintains business relationships.

Home Office Requirements

  • A minimum internet speed of 25 Mbps for downloads and 1.5 Mbps for uploads is required.
  • A private Wi-Fi network with a strong, unique password is necessary to access company data or systems.
  • A reliable personal computer (Windows or Mac). For security and compliance purposes, you will be required to log in to a Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI) application on your personal device.

Program Status & Compliance:

This is an unpaid training opportunity authorized under the Department of War (DoW) SkillBridge program. Participants must have command approval to participate and are strictly limited to 40 hours of training per week.
