Testing Specialist / Tester

Location: Remote.

Employment Type: Full-time.

Salary Range: $105,000 – $120,000.

Program Overview

The Testing Specialist will provide expertise in software testing across integration, regression, acceptance, and automation. This role is responsible for designing and executing test plans, preparing test data, and evaluating results to ensure compliance with requirements and regulations.

You will work with developers, analysts, and stakeholders to validate system functionality, confirm conformance to design specifications, and ensure the highest standards of security and performance. This position requires strong experience in automated test tools, test documentation, and quality assurance best practices.

Duties of a Testing Specialist may include but are not limited to:
  • Designing and executing IT software tests, including integration and acceptance testing.

  • Preparing test scripts, test cases, and all required test documentation.

  • Designing and preparing test data to support various testing phases.

  • Performing system, regression, acceptance, end-to-end, performance, and automation testing.

  • Reviewing test results and evaluating for conformance to design requirements.

  • Analyzing internal security within systems during testing phases.

  • Maintaining test cases using designated automated test tools.

  • Collaborating with project teams to ensure testing aligns with requirements and project goals.

Required Skills / Experience
  • 5+ years of relevant software testing experience.

  • Background in computer software development and testing software applications, including system, regression, acceptance, end-to-end, performance, and automation testing.

  • Experience developing and maintaining test cases using automated test tools.

  • Relevant certification from a nationally recognized technical authority.

  • Must possess IT-II Non-Critical Sensitive security clearance or Tier 3 (T3).

  • DoD Approved 8570 Baseline Certification: Category IAT Level - I (A+ CE, CCNA Security, CND, Network Security, SSCP) OR higher (IAT Level - II or III).
