We are looking for an innovative and driven Test Engineer to join our growing team and help us build the future of thermal management.

What You’ll Do

As a Test Engineer, you will be a critical part of our product development and manufacturing process. You will be responsible for leading our thermal test lab, ensuring the performance and reliability of our cutting-edge cold plates and other thermal management components. This is a hands-on role for a creative and meticulous engineer who is passionate about pushing the boundaries of what's possible. You will not only be responsible for the day-to-day operations of the lab but will also be a key contributor to the innovation of our testing methodologies.

Responsibilities:

  • Take ownership of the thermal test lab, from organization and safety to hardware procurement and management.

  • Design, build, and configure novel test setups to accurately evaluate the performance of our thermal components under a variety of conditions.

  • Conduct thermal and fluidic testing on components such as cold plates and other high-performance thermal solutions.

  • Analyze and interpret test data, providing actionable insights to our design and manufacturing teams to drive product improvements.

  • Research and propose new testing methodologies and equipment to enhance our testing capabilities and efficiency.

  • Present your findings and project proposals to leadership to secure resources for your innovative ideas.

  • Collaborate with our engineering team on the design of customer parts, with the potential to grow into an Applications Engineer role.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, a related field, or equivalent practical experience.

  • A strong understanding of heat transfer, thermodynamics, and fluid mechanics.

  • Demonstrated experience in designing and building test fixtures and setups.

  • Proficiency with data acquisition systems (DAQ) and sensor technology (thermocouples, pressure transducers, flow meters, etc.).

  • Experience with Python, or another programming language, with a preference for work done on automation and controls

  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.

  • Strong communication and presentation skills.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with thermal simulation software (e.g., SOLIDWORKS Flow Simulation, Ansys Icepak, Flotherm).

  • Familiarity with Keysight data acquisition software.

  • Experience in a fast-paced startup environment.

*Pay Range: $75,000-90,000 dependent on experience, qualifications, and education level

Additional requirements

This position will require access to information subject to control under U.S. export control laws and regulations, including the Export Administration Regulations (“EAR”) and International Traffic in Arms Regulations (“ITAR”).  Please note that any offer for employment will be conditioned on authorization to receive controlled items without sponsorship for an export license.
